ORDINANCE N0. 1685
AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE TO ALL CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL,
CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO, THAT THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL INTEND TO SELL
THE FOLLOWING- DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CALDWELL,
CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO; AND WHICH SAID PROPERTY IS SITUATED IN CANYON
COUNTY, IDAHO- THAT SAID SALE IS MADE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE
50, CHAPTER 1�, IDAHO CODE; THAT SAID SALE OF SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE
AT PUBLIC AUCTION AND SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER AND THAT NO BID SHALL
BE ACCEPTED FOR LESS THAN THE APPRAISED VALUE, SAID PROPERTY BEING
LOCATED AT 704 BLAINE STREET AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE OLD CITY HALL.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho, hereby intend to sell at public auction the following -des-
cribed real property situated within Canyon County, Idaho, said
property being described as follows, to -wit:
That property being in the Southwest Quarter of Section 22,
Township 4 North, Range 3 West of the Boise Meridian, more
particularly described as follows:
Lots 1 through 5 of Block 19 of the Original Townsite of
the City of Caldwell, as recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of Canyon County, Idaho.
Said sale shall include all property improvements, including
structures, parking and landscaped improvements.
Section 2. That the ordinance for the sale of said above -des-
cribed real property will be considered under a suspension of the
requirements that an ordinance be read on three different days at
a meeting of the council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to be held
on the 6th day of November, 1984, at the hour of seven - thirty p.m.
(7 :30 p.m.) at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Caldwell, Idaho, when and where, or prior to said date, any citizen
of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, or any number of citizens may express
dissatisfaction with said sale. Furthermore, as set forth in Section
50 -1403 Idaho code, if a petition expressing dissatisfaction with
said sale containing the names of qualified electors of the City in
a number equal to ten percent (10%) of the total votes cast for
Mayor at the preceding City election is filed with the City Clerk
during sixty (60) days from the passage of this ordinance, the
ORDINANCE - 1.
City Council shall cause a special election to be held on the ques-
tion of whether or not the real property shall be sold.
Section 3. The said above - described property shall be sold at
public auction to the highest bidder and no bid shall be accepted
for less than the appraised price and the City Council may reject
ank and all bids.
Section 4. Notice of the foregoing will be given to all citizens
of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, by publication of this
ordinance in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in three issues thereof
published on the 12 , 19 , and 26 of November, 1984.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication.
