ORDINANCE NO. 1656
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE I, CHAPTER 17 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO,
BY DELETING AND ADDING CERTAIN LANGUAGE IN SECTION 1, (A) AND (B)
REGARDING SALARIES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title I, Chapter 17, Section 1 (A) and (B)
be amended as follows:
1 -17 -1: ELECTIVE OFFICERS:
(A) Mayor: Commencing January 1,1982 1984 the salary of the
Mayor shall be the annual sum of1teer� °theasanel- elellas
4$15 9®e° 99} Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($16,500.00)
to be paid in twelve (12) equal payments, one each month, the
same as other salaries are paid by the City.
(B) Council: Each member of the Council elected to office and
in office on January 1, 1949 1984 or thereafter, shall be paid

Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00) to be paid in
twelve (12) equal payments, one each month, the same as other
salaries or fees are paid by the City.
1 -17 -2: APPOINTIVE OFFICERS: All officers and employees of
the City, other than elected officials, shall be paid salaries
or fees in such amounts as may be set from time to time by
Council.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this 31st day of
August, 1984.
APPROVED BY THE MAYOR of the City of Caldwell, this 31st day of
August, 1984.
