Home My WebLink AboutORD 1546Ll BILL NO. 3_ ORDINANCE N0. 1546 ,r AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, BY ADDING SECTION 25, OF CHAPTER 9, TITLE XI, PROVIDING FOR PARKING ON MUNICIPALLY OWNED PARKING LOTS OR AREAS PROHIBITED; AND PROVIDING THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE AFFECT AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION ACCORDING TO LAW. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO: Section 1. That Section 25, of Chapter 9, Title XI be added to the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell. Section 2. That Section 25, Chapter 9, Title XI to the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell be and the same hereby is enacted to read as follows: 11 -9 -25: PARKING ON MUNICIPALLY OWNED PARKING LOTS OR AREAS DPnPTRTTPn- (A) It shall be unlawful and a misdemeanor for any person to stop, stand or park a motor vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the law or at the direction of a police officer upon any municipally owned property or parking area where official sign prohibiting said stopping, standing or parking are erected. ( B) It shall be unlawful and a misdemeanor for any person to have in his possession any open container of beer or spiritious liquor upon any municipally owned parking areas in violation of any City ordinance or State statute governing the control of stopping standing, parking of motor vehicles and consumption of the aforementioned beer and spiritious liquor within the confines of the municipal City limits. (C) Exception: When there is a duly authorized public or private function which requires the parking and standing of vehicles for periods of time beyond the limits of the hours posted on t ORDINANCE - 1 above official signs and when proper permits and licenses have been issued for the consumption of the aforementioned beer and spirituous liquor Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this 2nd day of October , 1979.
