ORDINANCE NO. 1545
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 2, TITLE 12, OF THE CITY CODE OF THE
CITY OF CALDWELL AS IT PERTAINS TO THE DIVISION OF THE CITY INTO
PRECINCTS AND ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER 2, TITLE 12, OF THE CITY CODE
ESTABLISHING PRECINCTS FOR VOTING; REPEALING ALL SECTIONS INCONSISTENT
THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE AFFECT AFTER ITS
PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION ACCORDING TO LAW.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL, CITY OF CALDWELL,
COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, THAT:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Title 12 of the City Code of Caldwell,
Canyon County, Idaho, be repealed.
SECTION 2. Chapter 2, Title 12 of the City Code of Caldwell,
Canyon County ,Idaho, be enacted to read as follows:
12 -2 -1: PRECINCTS: The City is hereby divided into seven (7)
Precincts as follows:
Fourth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of Tenth Avenue South and
Logan Street; thence North along the centerline of Tenth
Avenue South to its intersection with the center line of the
Union Pacific Railroad right -of =way; thence Southeast along the
center line of the Union Pacific Railroad to its intersection
with the City Limits line; thence West along the City limits
lines to Lake Avenue; thence North along the City Limits lines
in a Westerly and Northwesterly direction to its intersection
with the center line of South Georgia; thence North along the
center line of South Georgia to its intersection with the
center line of Cleveland Boulevard; thence Northwesterly along
the center line of Cleveland Boulevard to its intersection
with the center line of Twentieth Avenue South; thence
Southwesterly along the center line of Twentieth Avenue South
to its intersection with the center line of Fillmore Street;
thence Northwesterly along the center line of Fillmore Street
to its intersection with the center line of Twelfth Avenue South;
thence Southwesterly along the center line of Twelfth Avenue
South and Twelfth Avenue South extended to the intersection of
Logan Street and Tenth Avenue South, being the true point of
beginning.
Fifth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of Cherry Street and South
Illinois Avenue; thence West along the center line of Cherry
Street to its intersection with the center line of South
Montana Avenue; thence North along the center line of South
Montana Avenue and South Montana Avenue extended to its '
intersection with the center line of Fillmore Street; thence
Southeasterly along the center line of Fillmore Street to its
intersection with the center line of Twentieth Avenue South;
thence Northeasterly along the center line of Twentieth Avenue
South to its intersection with the center line of Cleveland
Boulevard; thence Southeasterly along the center line of
Cleveland Boulevard to its intersection with the center line
of South Georgia Avenue; thence South along the center line

of South Georgia Avenue to its intersection with the center-
line of Cherry Street; thence West along the center line of
Cherry Street to its intersection with the center line of
South Illinois Avenue, being the true point of beginning.
Sixth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of Cherry Street and South
Illinois Avenue; thence East along the center line of Cherry
Street to its intersection with the center line of South
Georgia Avenue; thence South along the center line of South
Georgia Avenue to its intersection with the City Limits line;
thence following the City Limits line, in a Westerly, Southerly,
Northerly direction to its intersection with the center line of
Cherry Street and Montana Avenue; thence East along the center
line of Cherry Street to its intersection with the center line
of South Illinois Avenue, being the true point of beginning.
Eighth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of North Sixth Avenue and the
center line of the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way; thence
Northwest along the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad
right -of -way to its intersection with the South bank of the
Boise River; thence Northeasterly along the South bank of the
Boise River to its intersection with the center line of North
Illinois Avenue extended; thence Southerly along the Easterly
City Limit line to its intersection with the center line of
Lincoln Street; thence West along the center line of Lincoln
Street to its intersection with the center line of the Notus
Canal; thence South along the center line of the Notus Canal
to its intersection with the center line of Rose Garden Hill
Road; thence South along the center line of Rose Garden Hill
Road with its intersection with the center line of Marble
Front Road; thence West along the center line of Marble Front
Road to its intersection with the center line of North Kimball
Avenue; thence Southwest along the center line of North Kimball
Avenue to its intersection with the center line of Ithaca Street;
thence Northwesterly along the center line of Ithaca Street to
its intersection with the center line of North Sixth Avenue
extended; thence Southwesterly along the center line of North
Sixth Avenue extended to its intersection with the center line
of the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way being the true point
of beginning.
Ninth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection with the center line of North
Sixth Avenue and the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad
right -of -way; thence Southeasterly along the center line of the
Union Pacific right -of -way to its intersection with the City
Limits line; thence, East, North and Northwesterly along the
City Limits line to its intersection with the center line of
Lincoln Street; thence West along the center line of Lincoln
Street to its intersection with the center line of the Notus
Canal; thence South along the center line of the Notus Canal
to its intersection with the center line of Rose Garden Hill
Road; thence South along the center line of Rose Garden Hill
Road with its intersection with the center line of Marble Front
Road; thence West along the center line of Marble Front Road
to its intersection with the center line of North Kimball Avenue;
thence Southwest along the center line of North Kimball Avenue

to its intersection with the center line of Ithaca Street;
thence Northwesterly along the center line of Ithaca Street to
its intersection with the center line of North Sixth Avenue
extended; thence Southwesterly along the center line of North
Sixth Avenue extended to its intersection with the center line
of the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way being the true
point of beginning.
Twelfth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Cherry
Street and South Montana Avenue; thence North along the center
line of South Montana Avenue and South Montana Avenue extended
to its intersection with the center line of Fillmore Street;
thence Northwesterly along the center line of Fillmore Street
to its intersection with the center line of South Twelfth
Avenue; thence Southwesterly along the center line of South
Twelfth Avenue and South Twelfth Avenue extended to the
intersection of Twelfth Avenue South and Logan Street; thence
West along the center line of Logan Street to its intersection
with the center line of Marshall Avenue and the West City
Limits line; thence following the City Limits lines to a
Southerly and Easterly direction to its intersection with the
center line of South Montana Avenue and Cherry Street being the
true point of beginning.
Fifteenth Precinct:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Tenth
Avenue South and Logan Street; thence West along the center
line of Logan Street with the intersection of Logan Street and
Airport Avenue extended; thence North along the center line of
Airport Avenue extended and following the City Limits line in a
Westerly and Northerly direction to its intersection with the
South banks of the Boise River; thence in a Northeasterly
direction along the South bank of the Boise River to its
intersection with the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad
right -of -way; thence in a Southeasterly direction along the
center line of the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way to its
intersection with the center line of Tenth Avenue South; thence
in a Southwesterly direction along the center line of Tenth
Avenue South to its intersection with the center line of Logan
Street being the true point of beginning.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this 4th day
of September 1979.
