ORDINANCE NO. 1540
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE V, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, STATE OF IDAHO, REGARDING
THE BUILDING CODE; BY CHANGING CERTAIN DATES TO PROVIDE FOR THE
ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE FOR 1979; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS, ORDER OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL,
COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO:
Section 1. That Title V, Chapter 1, Section 1 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, be amended as
follows:
5 -1 -1: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted for the
purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction,
alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings and structures, that certain
Building Code known as the Uniform Building Code, copyrighted by
the International Conference of Building Officials, 1976 1979
Edition together with amendments and revisions thereof.
Section 2. That Title V, Chapter 1, Section 2 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, be amended as
follows:
5 -1 -2: FEES: From and after January -1; -1976 July 21, 1979 applicants
for construction, repair or remodeling of any building shall pay to
the Building Official fees established by the Building Official by
Rule and Regulation subject to approval by the City Council.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication according to law.
