ORDINANCE NO. 1471
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE I OF THE CITY CODE OF CALDWELL,
COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING
WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS CHAPTER 17 OF SAID TITLE I OF
SAID CODE; CREATING RECREATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO:
That Title I of the City Code of Caldwell, County of
Canyon, State of Idaho, shall be amended by adding the following
which shall be designated as Chapter 17 of said Title I of said
City Code:
Section 1. RECREATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR, CREATION OF:
The Mayor shall appoint a Recreation Program Supervisor subject
to confirmation by the City Council.
Section 2. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Plans, Organizes
and administers a variety of recreational programs for the City
Recreation Department; does related work as required.
Section 3. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: As employee
in this class performs responsible administrative, supervisory and
professional recreation work in directing and coordinating an overall
divisional program. Duties include selecting and training employees,
assigning areas of responsibility and participating in organization,
planning, finance, public relations, and participating in organization,
planning, finance, public relations, clerical and related functions.
Considerable independent judgment and initiative are required in
delegating responsibilities, controlling plans and projects, advising
subordinates and participating in long range planning. Assignments
arise from long range plans public demand for activities and observation

or recreational needs of the City. Supervision is received from the
Recreation Director.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
