AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 3, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 8, OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE
OF IDAHO, BY INCREASING CHARGES FOR METERED WATER FURNISHED
BY THE WATER DEPARTMENT EACH MONTH TO INDIVIDUAL USERS WITHIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCT_L OF THE
CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO:
Section 1. That Section 3 -3 -8 of the 14unicipal
Code of the City of Caldwell be amended to read as follows:
3 -3 -8: WATER RATES:
Charges for metered water furnished by the Water
Department each month to individual users within the City limits
shall be based upon the following schedule of rates:
Two dollars fifty cents ($2.50) per the first four
hundred (400) cubic feet, or fraction thereof;
Twenty- €ive- eexts- E$ 725) Thirty per
one hundred (100) cubic feet, or fraction thereof, for the next
additional six hundred (600) cubic feet;
Fifteen eexts E$ 715) Eighteen_ cents _($.18) per one
hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the next
additional nine thousand (9,000) cubic feet;
Seven and one half - cents- ($.075) Nine cents ($.09)
per one hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the
next additional fifteen thousand (15,000) cubic feet, and,
Five - cents- ($.95) Six cents ($.06) per one hundred
(100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for all excess over twenty
five thousand (25,000) cubic feet.
Charges for metered water furnished by the Water
Department each month to individual users residing outside of

the City Limits, where not otherwise governed by private contract
between the City and such user, shall be based upon the following
schedule of rates:
Five dollars ($5.00)- per the first
four hundred (400) cubic feet, or fraction thereof;
Fifty Beats ($ -.50) Sixty cents S$_.60) per one hundred
(100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the next additional
six hundred (600) cubic feet;
Tkirey- eents- ($ -739) Thirty six cents_(8 .36)_per one
hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the next
additional nine thousand (9,000) cubic feet;
Fifteen eents ($ -.15) Eighteen centsd8 .1 one
hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the next
additional fifteen thousand (15,000) cubic feet; and
Ten- eenes -($- @� Twelve cents — ($ _12Z (100) cubic feet
or fraction thereof, for all excess over twenty five thousand
(25,000) cubic feet.
Provided, however, that if a meter is used to service
more than one separate premise, then in that event, an additional
charge of two dollars fifty cents ($2.50) shall be made for each
separate additional premise.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this
17th day of February, 1976.
