AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 1, OF THE CITY
CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL,'COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO,
BY DELETING THE REQUIREMENT THAT MEMBERS OF THE ZONING COMMISSION
MUST BE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY; TO AMEND TITLE 2, CHAPTER 4,
SECTION 2, BY DELETING THE REQUIREMENT THAT MEMBERS OF THE PARKS
AND RECREATION COMMISSION SHALL BE RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS OF THE
CITY; TO AMEND TITLE 2, CHAPTER 6, SECTION 1, BY DELETING THE
REQUIREMENT THAT MEMBERS OF THE GOLF COURSE BOARD SHALL BE
RESIDENT CITIZENS; REPEALING ALL PROVISIONS AND SECTIONS INCON-
SISTENT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE
EFFECT AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION ACCORDING TO
LAW,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, THAT:
SECTION 1: That Title 2, Chapter 2, Section 1, of
the Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell be
amended to read as follows:
2 -2 -1: COMMISSION APPOINTED; TERMS OF OFFICE: There
is hereby created a Commission to be known and designated
as the Zoning Commission of the City, which shall consist
of eight (8) members to be appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the Council.- gone (1) of whom shall be a

be- e9der�s- e- �l�e -6�* Members of said Commission,
excepting the member of the Council, shall hold office for
terms of four (4) years each, and said terms shall be
staggered in such a manner so that the terms of not more
than two (2) members shall expire in any one (l) year,
The member appointed from the Council shall hold office
for the duration of his elected tenure as Councilman and
he shall have no vote on any matters of business consid-
ered by the Zoning Commission. Thereafter as the term
of each such member expires, excepting the Councilman,
the Mayor shall appoint a Commissioner for the term of
four (4) years and until his successor is appointed.
Any Commissioner may be discharged from office at any
time by the Mayor with the concurrence of a majority of
the members of the Council.
SECTION 2: That, itle_2, Chapter 4, Section 2, of
the Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell be
amended to read as follows:
2 -4 -2: MEMBERS:" The Parks and Recreation Commis-
sion shall consist of eight (8) members who shall be
appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council

members of the Council, who shall be ex officio members
of the Commission.
SECTION 3: That Title, Chapter 6, Section 1, of
the Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell be
amended to read as follows
2 -6 -1: BOARD CREATED: There is hereby created a
Golf Course Board which shall consist of the President
of the Caldwell Men's Golf Association, the President of
the Caldwell `Women's Golf Association, and seven (7)
resideRt- eitizea9 individuals who shall be appointed by
the Mayor, with the consent of the Council. One of the
members so appointed shall be a <member of the Council
and the other six (6) members shall be residents -ef -the
61ty -and active golf players. All shall serve without
salary.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this
lath day of February, 1975.
