AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR URN
LICENSING OF DRAYS, TRUCKS, EXPRESS AND JOB WAGONS
NUMB, RING OF THE S'AIR IN Tffl!. CITY OF.P.ALDWELL, IDAHO,
ARM PROVIDING A PETTALTY FOR THE VIOLATION TRERROF,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
of the City of 'indwell.
Section 1.-It shall be unlawful for any person or persdvvy
to run or operate any dray, truck, job or express wugon in the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, without first taking out or procuring
the license hereinafter set forth.
Section 2. No license shall be issued to the person
or persons enumerated in Section 1 of this Ordinance except
the amount required for said license shall have been first paid
to the City Clerk and the provisions of this Ordinance complied
with . Upon receipt of 0o license money the said Clerk ohall
issue tte said license to the applicant reqiireing the same, and
shall keep a list of the licenses so issued stating the numbel,
name, time and amount paid, with such remarks as way be consid-
cred necessary.
Section 4.-Every such license shall specify by name
the person firm of corporation to whom it shall be issued. No
licenno granted or issued under any of the provisions of this
Ordinance, shz Il in any manner be assignable or transferable,
or aot1toyize any other person other than is therein named or ment-
ioned, to to said business unless by the permission of the Mayor
endorsed on such license.
Section 5.- The license fee for conducting or carrying
on the business provided for in this Ordinance shall be as follows
to wit:

1. For running or opeildting a dray, truck , express or
job Wagon or any other such vehicle drawn by two or more horses

2. For running or operating a dray,truck , express or job
wagon or any other such vehicle drawn by one horse the sum of

No license shall be issued for a period of time less
than one year.
Section 6.- All drctys, trucks -, expros or job tagons,
licensed as hereinbefore provided, shall be numbered with plain
figures, painted on metalic plates, not less than three inches
long and two inches wide, which shall always be kept conspicuously
in view. The said numbers shall be furnished by the City Clerk
and. no numbers other than those so issued by hire shall be con—
sidered as fulfilling the provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 7.- Any person or persons vidlating any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemoah
or and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not
less than $10.00 and not more Lhan $100.00.
