AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 11, CHAPTER 14, OF THE CITY CODE
OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, BY
PROVIDING THAT THE LICENSE FEE SHALL BE CHANGED FROM AN ANNUAL
FEE OF TWENTY -FIVE CENTS (25 TO A FEE OF TWO DOLLARS ($2.00)
WHICH SHALL BE FOR THE LIFE OF THE BICYCLE, OR UNTIL SAID
BICYCLE IS TRANSFERRED FROM THE OWNER; PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE
OF A DUPLICATE LICENSE IN THE EVENT OF LOSS OR DESTRUCTION OF
AN ORIGINAL BICYCLE LICENSE, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT
THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, THAT:
SECTION L. That Title 11, Chapter 14, Section 3 of
the Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell, be
amended to read as follows:
11 -14 -3: APPLICATION: Application for a bicycle license and
license plate shall be made to the Police Department.
A fee of two dollars ($2.00)
shall be paid before such license is issued.
SECTION 2. That Title 11, Chapter 14, Section 4 of the
Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell, be
amended to read as follows:
11 -14 -4: ISSUANCE:
(A) The Police Department upon receiving proper application
therefor is authorized to issue a bicycle license which

for the life of the bicycle or until the bicycle is
transferred by the owner, whichever event shall occur
first.
(B) The Police Department shall not issue a license for any
bicycle when he knows the applicant is not the owner of
or entitled to the possession of such bicycle.
(C) The Police Department shall keep a record of the number
of each license, the date issued, the name and address
of the person to whom issued, the number on the frame
of the bicycle and a record of all bicycle fees collected.
(D) In case the license plate is lost or destroyed, the Police
Department shall issue a new license plate for a fee of
One Dollar ($1.00) upon presentation of the receipt showing
payment of the original license fee or duplicate registration.
SECTION 3. That Title 11, Chapter 14, Section 7 of the
Ordinance of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell be
amended to read as follows:
11 -14 -7: TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Upon the sale or transfer
of a licensed bicycle the licensee shall remove

SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its approval, passage and publication as
required by law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell, this
