AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE TO CITIZENS AND OWNERS OF 'PROPERTY
IN CANYON COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO, WITHIN ONE (1) MILE OF THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, THAT AN APPLICATION
HAS BEEN PRESENTED FOR THE VACATION OF LAUREL STREET IN PLEASANT
RIDGE NO. 2 ADDITION TO CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED By the Mayor and the
Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That an application has been presented
to the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, pursuant
to the provisions of 50- _1306A Idaho Code for the passage and
approval of an ordinance vacating Laurel Street in Pleasant
Ridge No. 2 Addition to Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, describ-
ed as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1 of Block 13
of the Pleasant Ridge No. 2 Addition to Caldwell,
Idaho, as shown on the official plat of record and
on file in the office of the Recorder of Canyon County,
Idaho; thence North 0 ° -42' West, 32.30 feet; thence
North 22 ° -28' West, 30.00 feet to the Southwesterly
corner of Lot 3 of Block 12 of the said Pleasant
Ridge No. 2 Addition; thence North 67 ° -32' East,
470.85 feet to the Southeasterly corner of Lot 4 of
said Block 12; thence South 24 ° -42' West, 60.05 feet
to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 5 of Block 13 of
the said Pleasant Ridge No. 2 Addition; thence South
67 ° -32' West, 482.83 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. That said application will be considered
under a suspension of the requirements that an ordinance be read
on three different days at a meeting of the Council of the City
of Caldwell, Idaho, to be held on the 4th day of September,
1973, at the hour of eight o'clock p.m., Mountain Daylight Time,
at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell;
when and where, or prior to which date any citizen or any owner
of property may file with the Clerk of the City of Caldwell an
objection to the vacation of said property and any objections
0
so filed will be considered by the Council of the City of
Caldwell at said meeting.
Section 3. Notice of the foregoing will be given to
all property owners within three hundred (300) feet of the boun-
daries of the area described in this ordinance; said notice shall
be given by certified mail with return receipt requested at
least ten (10) days prior to the date of said public hearing,
and in addition thereto notice shall be given by publishing
this ordinance in The News- Tribune, a newspaper published in
the City of Caldwell, Idaho, in two (2) issues thereof published
on the 11th day of August, 1973 and on the 18th day of August,
1973, the last publication of which shall be not less than seven
days prior to the date of said hearing.
