VIOLATION THEREOF.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell.
Section. 1- It
shall be unlawful
for ally
owner, his
agents or servants, or any
other person o persons,
in the city
of Caldwell, Idaho, to run
any automobile or
motor cycle on
over or across the streets
or alloys of the
City of
Caldwell
without first having Provided himself with a
Permit
and tag
as hereinafter set forth.
Section 2.- It shall be the duty of the City Clark
to provide the said permits and tags mentioned in Section I of thtS
iNdinance and on application therefor :iss saute to the person
or persons applyillg tberefoTe an payment to the City Clerk of the
Bum of $5,00. Each permit and tag so issued shall be consecutive-
ly nuutbored and the number on the tag shall correspond with the
nulabor on the permit.
Section 3.- Every permit and tag so issuedAy'the Clerk
shall berecorded in to book kept by h1a for that PurPose showing the
number of the permit and tag, to Whom the Same Was issued and
the date thereof.
Section 4.® The tags horeinbefore mentioned shall be of
metal with raised letters and numbers thereon, four Inches in
height, and shall contain the word u Caldwell H and the number.
The said tags and permits shall be provided by the Clerk and tags
other than those so provided by him will not be Considored as
comp lying with the provisions of this 6rdiriance. The permits
so issued in addition to t he number, name of Q person -to whom
issued and the date thereof, shall state the period for which
'the, 08MIC is issued Which shall be one year. Every tag so issued

to the owner of an automobile shall be attached to the rear aril
of the machine in such a manner that the numbers and letters
thereon will be conspicuously displayed. The said tag must be
kept clean and in such a condition that the letters and nutabors
thereon can be readily distinguished at all times.
Section 5•- It shall be unlawful for any person or pors4u
to run or drive any automobile or motor cycle across any street
or alley or turn any corner in. the city of caldvell at a greater
rate of speed than qj miles per hour. And it shall be
unlawful for any person or persons to rum or drive any aut
over, or across, or upon the streets or alleys of the City of
Caldivell at night without having attached to said automobile
at least two burning limps in front of said machine and one
burning colored light in the rear of staid machine. raid, lid htd
must at all times when burning be kept clean and in a serviceable
condition
Section 6 -® Any person or persons violating any of the
provisions of this 0r6inance shall be deemed eu ilty of a
