AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 -8 -1, PARAGRAPH (A) OF CHAPTER 8,
TITLE VI, OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, PROVIDING
THAT THERE SHALL BE AT LEAST ONE (1) PERMANENTLY MAINTAINED PARKING
SPACE OR A PRIVATE GARAGE SPACE ON THE SAME LOT WITH THE MAIN BUILD-
ING OR THE ENLARGEMENT OF A MAIN BUILDING FOR SINGLE FAMILY DWELL-
INGS, AND IN THE CASE OF MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS THERE SHALL BE AT
LEAST ONE (1) PERMANENTLY MAINTAINED PARKING SPACE OR A PRIVATE
GARAGE SPACE ON THE SAME LOT FOR EACH ONE (1) BEDROOM FAMILY UNIT
AND AT LEAST TWO (2) PERMANENTLY MAINTAINED PARKING SPACES FOR EACH
TWO (2) BEDROOM OR LARGER FAMILY UNIT, SUCH PARKING SPACES TO BE NOT
LESS THAN EIGHT (8) FEET WIDE, EIGHTEEN (18) H,EET LONG, AND SEVEN
FEET (7) HIGH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE
EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 6 -8 -1, Paragraph (A) of Chapter
8, Title VI, of the City Code of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be
amended to read as follows:
"(A) Private Space or Garage for Dwellings: There shall
be at least one (1) permanently maintained parking space or a private
garage space on the same lot with the main building or the enlarge-
ment of a main building for single family dwellings and in the case
of multiple family dwellings there shall be at least one (1) perman-
ently maintained parking space or a private garage space on the same
lot for each one (1) bedroom family unit and at least two (2) per-
manently maintained parking spaces for each two (2) bedroom or larger
family unit, such parking spaces to be not less than eight (8) feet
wide, eighteen feet (18) feet long, and seven feet (7) high."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in force and

effect from and after its passage and publication.
