ORDINANCE NO. 1169
BY COUNCILMAN MARTIN
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 -3 -11 OF CHAPTER 3 OF TITLE VII OF
THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, INCREASING THE FEE
FOR THE COLLECTION AT RESIDENCES FROM $1.25 PER MONTH TO $1.65 PER
MONTH FOR SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES, AND PROVIDING FOR THIS ORDINANCE
TO BE IN FORCE FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
9 Section 1. That Section 7 -3 -11 of Chapter 3 of Title VII
10 of the City Code of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended to read
11 as follows:
1211 "7 -3 -11: COLLECTION FEES: Fees and rates for the collec

tion of garbage and refuse shall be set by rules and regulations of

the Council. The fee for the collection at residences shall be one

dollar and sixty -five cents ($1 per month for single family

residences. The fee for business houses or multiple family resi-

dences shall be set by negotiation and contract between the City

and the business houses.

Provided further, that where the enforcement of the pro -

visions of this Chapter will work a financial hardship, or where the

amount of refuse and gargage is of such small amount as to not
22
warrant the collection of the full charges as herein provided, the
23
Mayor and Council may issue a special permit altering the provisions
24
of this Chapter."

Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in force and
26
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
