HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1130• E n z 0 U1 es 1 BILL NO. 10 ORDINANCE NO. 1130 3 BY COUNCILMAN DAVENPORT 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 -6 -1 AND 2 -6 -2 OF CHAPTER 6 OF TITLE II OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, IN- 5 CREASING THE GOLF COURSE BOARD FROM FIVE TO SEVEN MEMBERS AND ESTABLISHING THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR THE MEMBERS, AND AMENDING 6 SECTION 2 -8 -2 OF CHAPTER 8 OF TITLE II OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, INCREASING THE CALDWELL AIRPORT COM- 7 MISSION FROM FIVE TO SEVEN MEMBERS AND ESTABLISHING THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR THE MEMBERS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL e ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS 9 , ORDINANCE AND ITS TAKING EFFECT. 1 11i BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and Council of the City of 12 Caldwell, Idaho: 13 Section 1. That Section 2 -6 -1 of Chapter 6 of Title II 14 of the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended to read as follows: 15 "2 -6 -1: BOARD CREATED: There is hereby created a Golf 16 Course Board which shall consist of seven (7) resident citizens 17 who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the Council 18 One (1) of the members so appointed shall be a member of the Council 19 and the other six (6) members shall be residents of the City and 20 active golf players. All shall serve without salary." 21 Section 2. That Section 2 -6 -2 of Chapter 6 of Title II 22 of the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended to read as follows: 23 11 2 -6 -2: TERM OF OFFICE: The term of the respective 24 members of the Golf Course Board shall be as follows: The member 25 appointed from the Council shall serve for a period of two (2) 26 years, or until the end of his term as a Council member, and the 27 other six (6) members shall be appointed for terms of four (4) 31 32 years, excepting that there shall not be more than two (2) members whose terms shall expire in any one year. Accordingly, appointments may be made for terms less than four (4) years in order that not more than two (2) members terms expire in any one year. All vacancies shall be filled by appointment in the same 1 Q� 1 ®a 1 � 1 0 11 manner as appointments were originally made, for the unexpired term 2 of the vacancy." Section 3. That Section 2 -8 -2 of Chapter 8 of Title II of the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended to read as follows: "2 -8 -2: MEMBERSHIP; TERMS OF OFFICE: The Caldwell Air- port Commission shall consist of seven (7) members to be appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval of the Council. The term of the respective members of the Caldwell Airport Commission shall be as follows: The member appointed from the Council shall serve for a period of two (2) years, or until the end of his term as a Council member, and the other six (6) members shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years, excepting that there shall not be more than two (2) members whose terms shall expire in any one year. Accordingly, appointments may be made for terms less than four (4) years in order that not more than two members terms expire in any one year." Section 4. All ordinances, resolutions, orders or parts therewith, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, rescinded and annulled. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in force and effect 21 from and after its approval, passage and publication as required by 22 law. PASSED By the Council this 15th day of April, 1968.
