BY COUNCILMAN
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 9 -3 -11 OF
TITLE IX, CHAPTER 3 OF THE CITY CODE OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, PERTAIN-
ING TO DOG KENNELS, AND DEFINING A KENNEL AS ANY LOT OR PREMISES
ON WHICH FIVE OR MORE DOGS, REGARDLESS OF AGE, ARE KEPT, RATHER
THAN FIVE DOGS OR MORE, AT LEAST SIX MONTHS OLD, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SAID ORDINANCE.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That the first paragraph of Section 9 - -

of Title IX, Chapter 3 of the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, be
amended to read as follows:
"KENNELS: The owner of any five (5) dogs or more, re-
gardless of age, shall be deemed the operator of a dog kennel.
Said dog kennel shall be kept, at all times, in a clean and
sanitary condition and the dogs shall be reasonably restrained
from annoying the neighborhood or the general public by loud,
frequent or habitual barking, yelping, or howling."
Section 2. That this ordinance from and after its
passage, approval and publication as required by law, shall take
effect on January 1, 1968.
