4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 -3 -8 OF CHAPTER 3 TITLE IX OF THE
CITY CODE OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, MAKING THE CHARGE FOR A DOG RUNNING
5 AT LARGE $ 00 ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE; $10.00 ON THE SECOND OCCUR-
RENCE AND 25.00 ON THE THIRD AND EACH OCCURRENCE THEREAFTER, PRO -
6 VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT, AND RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
8 Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
9 Caldwell, Idaho:
10 Section 1. That Chapter 3, Title I'l, Section 9 -3 -8 of
11 the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby amended to read as
12 follows:
13 "NOTICE TO OWNER AND REDEMPTION: Not later than one (1)
14 day after impounding of any unlicensed dog, the Chief of Police
15 shall cause to be published in the official newspaper of the City
16 for two (2) consecutive days a description of the dog and time and
17 place of taking. If the dog shall be wearing a license when ap-
18 prehended, the Chief of Police shall cause notice to be mailed or
191delivered to the address shown on the application for the license.
The owner of any dog so impounded may reclaim such dog upon pay-
ment of the license fee if unpaid and all charges and costs incurred
by the City for impounding and keeping the dog.
The following charges shall be paid to the City:
For dog running at large, first
occurrence $ 5.00
For dog running at large, second
occurrence 10.00
For dog running at large, third
occurrence and each occurrence
thereafter 25.00
For impounding any dog 3.00
For keeping any dog 1.00 per day
For giving notice 1.00
The City Pound shall be maintained solely for use of enforcement
of this Chapter.
Section 2. All ordinances, resolutions, orders, or parts
therewith, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, rescinded and
annulled.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its approval, passage and publication, as re-
quired by law.
