4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 -3 - OF CHAPTER 3, TITLE III OF THE
CITY CODE OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, INCREASING THE CHARGES FOR METERED
5 WATER FROM $2.00 TO $2.50 FOR THE FIRST 400 CUBIC FEET OR FRACTION
THEREOF FURNISHED BY THE WATER DEPARTMENT EACH MONTH TO INDIVIDUAL
6 USERS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND INCREASING FRoM $4.00 TO $5.00
FOR THE FIRST 400 CUBIC FEET OR FRACTION THEREOF FURNISHED BY THE
7 WATER DEPARTMENT TO INDIVIDUAL USERS RESIDING OUTSIDE THE CITY
LIMITS, WHERE NOT OTHERWISE GOVERNED BY PRIVATE CONTRACT BETWEEN
8 THE CITY AND SUCH USER, AND AMENDING SECTION 3 -3 -9 OF CHAPTER 3,
TITLE III OF THE CITY CODE OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, INCREASING THE MINI -
9 MUM CHARGE PER MONTH FOR METERED WATER FURNISHED BY THE WATER DE-
PARTMENT FROM $2.00 TO $2.50, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS
10 ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH.

12 Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
1311 Caldwell, Idaho:
5 1 14 Section 1. That Chapter 3, Title III, Section 3 -3 - of
e `' 15 the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby amended to read as

17 "3 -3 -3: WATER RATES: Charges for metered water furnished

181 by the Water Department each month to individual users within the
1911 City Limits shall be based upon the following schedule of rates:
20� Two and 50/100 dollars ($2.50) per the first four hundred
(400) cubic feet, or fraction thereof;

Twenty -five cents (25¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet
22 or fraction thereof, for the next additional six hundred
(600) cubic feet;

Fifteen cents (15¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet or
24 fraction thereof, for the next additional nine thousand
(9000) cubic feet;

Seven and one -half cent (7 -1/2¢) per one hundred (100)
26 cubic feet or fraction thereof, for the next additional
fifteen thousand (15,000) cubic feet; and
Five cents (5¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet or frac-
tion thereof, for all excess over twenty -five thousand (25,000)
cubic feet.
Charges for metered water furnished by the Water Department each
month to individual users residing outside of the City Limits,
where not otherwise governed by private contract between the City

and such user, shall be based upon the following schedule of rates:
Five dollars ($5.00) per the first four hundred (400)
cubic feet, or fraction thereof;

Section 3. All ordinances, resolutions, orders, or parts
therewith, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, rescinded and

fraction thereof, for the next additional six hundred
(600) cubic feet;
Thirty cents (30¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet
or fraction thereof, for the next additional nine
thousand (9,000) cubic feet;
Fifteen cents (15¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet

9 thousand (15,000) cubic feet; and
Ten cents (10¢) per one hundred (100) cubic feet or
10 fraction thereof for all excess over twenty -five

12 Section 2. That Chapter 3, Title III, Section 3 -3 -9 of
13 the City Code of Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby amended to read as
14 follows:
15 "3 -3 -9: MINIMUM CHARGE AND REFUNDS: The minimum charge
16 per month for metered water furnished by the Water Department shall
17 be two and 50/100 dollars ($2.50) and all charges for metered water
shall be due and payable on or before the tenth day of the month
following that in which the water was used. For the purpose of
making refund, the Clerk, or such other person as may be authorized
by the Mayor and Council, is hereby authorized to maintain a petty
cash fund in the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00)."
25 annulled.
26 Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
27 effect from and after its approval, passage and publication, as
required by law.
