The Council met pursuant to call and acknowledgement of notice in the following form: We, the undersigned Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, do here- by acknowledge notice of a Special Meeting of the said City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 4:00 P. M., on the 23rd day of December, 1965, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects: Reconsideration of Beer License No. 23 issued to Ettie Vickers, Bill Presley and Jo Ann Perry d/b /a Silver City Tavern and to con- sider granting leave of absence to Barney Goal. 'Bill" Keys, V. Jay Martin, Charles W. Carpenter, and C. A. Davenport. Absent: E. L. Vassar and Max Lnby. Reconsideration of Beer License - Silver City Tavern Mayor Smith reported to the Council that the Chief of police had received information concerning Bill Presley, one of the partners receiving a Beer License for 1966 at the Silver City Tavern, in that the State of California was holding a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Grand Larceny and that the parties involved had made a new application for Beer License by omitting his name from the partnership; however, the had merely marked through his name on the Lease and this was not satisfactory to the City Attorney. It was moved by Councilman Davenport, seconded by Councilman Martin, that City Beer License No. 23 for 1966 which had been approved and issued to the Silver City Tavern be cancelled and that a new license be issued to Ettie Vickers and Jo Ann Perry subject to either a new lease or proper assignment of lease by Bill) Presley, acceptable to the City Attorney. A vote was taken and the motion carried. Leave of Absence - Barney Gaul It was moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Keys, that Barney Gaul be placed on leave of absence for 'six months effective January 1, 1966. A vote was taken and the motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Davenport, seconded by Councilman Carpenter, that the meeting adjourn. A vote was taken and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 4:15 P. M. :mac COUNCIL CHAMBERS JANUARY 3, 1966 8:00 P. M. The regular monthly meeting of the City Council met in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Mayor N. E. "Coley" Smith and each of the following named Councilmen who were duly elected in the Municipal Election held on November 2, 1965, were administered the oath of office: Councilman for First Ward, William S. Harrison; Councilman for Second Ward, Charles C. Banks; and Councilman for Third Ward, C. A. "Chet" 11 Davenport. Upon Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present: Charles C. Banks, William S, Harrison, James W. "Bill" Keys, V. Jay Martin, Charles W. Carpenter, and C. A. "Chet" Davenport. Order No, 1 - L.I.D. #57 The following Order was presented for consideration of the Council after it first having been de- termined that no one was present to offer objections to the Assessment Roll of Local Improvement District No. 57 nor had any written protests to said Assessment Roll been received in the office of the City Clerk:
