Voted, on motion of Gartin, that Cotm cil adjourn until Monday, December
19, 1910, at ?t30 p. m.
Monday, December 19, 1910. Council met, in regular sension pursuant to
adjournment pith Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilmen Devers , Farrar, Gartin, Paynter,
present; O.J.Shorb, Clerk.
The matter of opening and closing certain roads for which a petition was
filed at the last regular meeting and the matter considered by the City Engineer and
Street Committee, it was reported that the road is already a laid out street, where-
upon a motion was made by Devers that the petition be granted as prayed for and that
the Street Committee be instructed to have the road opened accor.Iing to plat. The
roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ayes--- nevers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter - -4.
Nays - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed.
R. E. Harthrong made verbal petition for a crossing at Fifteenth Avenue
and Everett Street.
M. hi. Robertson mikes verbal petition asking that 2n11an Creek be so
changed as to prevent damage to sidewalks andapproach to bridge at Fifth Avenue. The
matter was referred to the City Engineer and Street Committee to have the same fixed.
A motion was made by Farrar that the City Clerk be instructed to draw a
warrant on the Water Works Extension Fund in the sum of #1757.52 in payment of two
cars of freight for stand pipe, and the Clerk is further instructed to draw warrants
on the Water YPorks Fxtension Fund to pay for the two cars yet to come when the
freight bills for the same are presented. The roll being called on the motion the
vote resultede
Ayes-- Deners, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter--4.
Nays - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris4 C, So the motion prevailed.
The Cemetery Committee anal the City Attorney were instructed to procure
right -of -way over landsfor the pipo line between the city stand pipe and the Canyon
Hill Cemetery.

A motion was made by Farrar that the 8 -inch artesian Nell be sunk 50 feet
further or until a good flovJ of water was reached. The roll beg called on the
motion, the vote resultede

motion was declared carried.

A motion was made by Revers that a light be plac -ed at the railroad crossing
on-Y.imball Avenue. The roll being called on the motim, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Devers, Farrar, Gartin - -3.
Nays -- Paynter. Absent, -- Clark, Harriet -2. So the motion was lost.

that the sewer be accepted by the City and the Committee discharged. The roll being

A motion was made by Farrar that the claim of Henry Babb for rebate on weeds

cutting 1909, be rejected. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter -A
Nays - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed.
Voted, on motion of Farrar that in the maSrter of the disposal of wood pipe
that the same be disposed of by the Water Committee to the beet advantage of the City.
A motion was made by Farrar that G H. Fuller be allowed ,15.00 extra for Nov,
ember. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Pavers, Farrar, Cartin, Paynter - -4,
Nnys - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed.
A motion was made by Farrar that the salary of the Superintendent of Water
Works beginning with Docember 1, 1910, be fixed at 1 6 90.00 per month. The roll being
called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Devers, Farrar, Gartin, Paynter —4 .
Nays - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed.
A motion was made by Paynter that W. A. Stone be employed by the City to
assist the City Attorney in defending in suit against Lateral Sewerage District No. 3.
The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted:
Ayes -- Devers, Farrar, Gartin,Paynter - -4.

A motion was made by Paynter ti-at the water rental of Bessie Burch be rebated
in the sum of $3.05. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted:

Nays - -0. Absent -- Clark, Harris - -2. So the motion prevailed.
Voted, on motion of Gartin that Council adjourn until Tuesday evening,
January 3, 1911, at 7:30 p, m.
