Eldredge, The Mayor stated the meeting was called to consider a resolution calling for notice of proaosal to issue and sell bonds of Local Improvement IJ No. lab. L8 OF THE CITY OF CALWELL, IN THE COUNTY OF CANYON ,'7TATE OF ILAHO, AND IIVITING AND RECEIVING BIDS THEREICR: RE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: Section 1. That notice is hereby authorized, ordered, and directed to be liven and published as hereinafter provided, that the Kayar and Council of the City of Cald� ell, Idaho, propose to sell and invite written proposals for the purchase of Donds of Local Improvement District [lo. h6 of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idahoe in the amounts and for the purposes specified in the following form, to -wit: 140TICE OR PFOPOSAL TO IS5U�.AN1' SSLL HONKS OF LOCAL IMPRCV DISTRICT NO. 68 OF THE CITY OF CALD5fELL, IN THE COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF I1'ARO, AND INVITING AND R?CEIVING BIDS THEREFOR. Public Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the purchase of bonds of Local Improvement District No. 0 of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, State of Idaho, will be received at the office of the City Clerk until Friday, the 90th day of December, 1960, at the hour of five O'clock P. M. Said bonds for Local Improvement District No. h8 shall be in the principal sum of SEVENTY -FIVE THOUSAND SEVENTY -THREE & 90100 ($75,073.90) DOLLARS, in 150 bonds of the denomintion of FIVE HUNDRED & N0/106 ($500.00) DOLLARS each, and one bond which shall be in the amount of SEV3NTY -CHASE F: 90 1100 ($73.90) DOLLARS; said bonds shall be numbered from 1 to 151, inclusive; all bonds to be dated January 1, 1961, payable numerically in ten (10) installments of approximately eoual amounts each year, each installment of bonds maturing in respective years annually fron 1962 to 1971, inclusive; but shall be subject to call on any interest date following the delinquency of any installment of the assessment; said bonds to bear interest at rate, or rates, not to ex- ceed the rate of six (6 %) per cent per annum, as may be determined at the time of sale, payable semi - annually on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July of each year at the ofi'ice of the City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. Bidders are to submit said bids specifying the lowest rate of interest and premium, if any above oar, at which the bidder will purchase said bonds or the lowest rate of interest at w ich the bidder will purchase said bonds, and all tenders, bids, or o�fers to purchase must be addressed to the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, without condition or nualifications, and be accompanied by a certified check on some bank in the State of Idaho, nayable to the City Treasurer of said City in the amount of five (5$) per cent of amount of bid, or being a cash deposit in like amount, to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail or refuse to take to or pay for the bonds within thirty (30) days after the notice by the City of readiness to deliver said bonds. Unsuccessful bidders will ae returned their certified checks. All Bids shall be conditioned upon the approving, of a satisfactory legal opinion as to the i �G legality of the said issue; nrovided, however, that said bonds shall not be sold for less than their face or nar value and accrued interest at the time ofdisoosal by the City Treasurer, under the general super- vision of the Mayor and Council. The said City will furnish the honds. Each of the said bonds and each of the counons attached thereto, shall be duly and regularly issued in form and contents in ecnformity with Chanter 2�, Title 50 of the Idaho Code of the State of Idaho, and all other laws thereunto ena'oling, or in amendment thereof. City Fnvineer City of Caldwell Caldwell, Idaho Novem..er 23, 1960 Dear Mr. Lewis: Enclosed is an original a nd three copies of the Cooperative Traffic Signal Agree- ment for the traffic signal installation at the intersection of Cleveland Boulevard and Kimball Avenue in Caldwell. Also attached ['or your info.mation are the cost es- timates for the City and State portions of the work and the material specifications for those items the City or Caldwell ud 11 fu—ish towards the installation. Please note that the City of Caldwell has been given cr , -dit for the three com- bination lif and signal poles that were installed by Idaho Power Gomnany in both the material and labor costs o* the installation. Additionally, toe existint traffic signal heads at the intersection will be used in the installation, however, they will require eight (81) tunnel vissors for each signal lens. The City of Cald- well was given $0 per cent credit on the cost estimate for theexisting traffic signal heads. F If this Agreement meets with the anproval of the City, please have all copies signed and r-turned to this office for signature by the State Highway Engineer.
