Moved by tVers, seconded by Burrell that the City treasurer be authorized to deduct $2.50 from the I;ater Fund to cover this check. On Rohl Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Thereupon Councilman Glaisyer introduced Bill pro 16, entitled: AN ORDINANCE A� ENDING SECTIOr; 1 -607, CALDNELL CODE OF 1942, MAKING IT NO LONGEP. NECESSARY FOR ANY PERSON APPOINTED AS AN OFFICER OR ANY PFAMER OF' THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO BE A QUALIFIED ELECTOR OF THE CITY OF CAIDRTLL AT THE TIME OF HIS APPOINTMENT TO SUCH OFFICE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTI7E DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO ME EFFECT. which was read for the first time and the Council proceeded to a consideration of Bill No 16. It was moved by Councilman Fenrich, seconded by Councilmay Myers that the rules requiring that the reading of a Bill on three separate days be suspended and Bill No 16, be read the second time by title and the third time ;in full section by section and placed on the final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above motion with the following result: Those voting in the affirmative were: Olaieyer, Uyers, Burrell, Fenrich and 'Harding. Negative: None. Absent and not - noting: Mason. The Mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 16 the second time by title and the third time in full section by section. The Clerk rrad the Bill as directed. The question being, "Shall Bill No 15 pass?" The Mayor directed the Clerk torall the roll on the above question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Glaisyee, Myers, Burrell, Fenrich and Harding. regatise: None. Absent and not voting: Mason. Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 16 had passed and the Mayor;in open session of the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same which became Ordinance No 718. The Mayor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause Ordinance No 718, to be, published in the Caldwell Newa- Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Burrell, .seconded by Councilman Glaisyer that Council adjourn. Motioncarried. 4 —^ Mayor• City C er c.
