Council met in adjourned session pursuant to law with Mayor nioC.onnel presiding, and Councilmen Bollman, Dickens, Gordon, Johns', Laighty and Sandmeyer, present. Absent, None. Owing to 'the absence of the City Clerk the Mayor appointed Mr. W. 0. Dyer Acting Clerk and ennouneed that the uounoil was in session for the consideration of any business which might lawfully come before it. This being the time set for consideration of objections to the Assessment`` roll of Local Street Improvement District No. 13, the Clerk presented to the Council an Affidavit of Publication of the Notice of Filing of Assessment Roll of Local Street Improvement'Distriat No. 13, Which affidavit was and is in wards and figures as follows'i to twit; STATE CF IDAHO, AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION se. Shorb being duly sworn, deposee and says that he is foreman Of CALDWELL PUBLISHING COZUPANY, publisher of The Caldwell News— Tribune, a eami— weekly.newspaper published at Caldwell, Idaho; that the said paper is in general circulation in the County aforesaid, and has'been for a period of 78 weeks preceding first publication of this advertisenSent, a copy of which is att ed hereto, and was published in the regular edition of said The Caldwell Have.. Tribune two consecutive weeks beginning with the issue of November 21, 1930 and ending with the issue of November 27, 1930. ORDRR n0. b. 'J AN ORDER APPROVING A1m COnFIRNING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL OF LOCAL STREET 110ROVEKKNT DISTRICT NO. 13, FOR THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO. It appearing to the Council that the assessment roll of Local Street Improvement District No. 13, for the City f Caldwell Idaho has been certified Y . , to the Council by the Committee on Streets and the City Engineer of the Oity of Caldwell; and was filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City, on the 20th day of November, 1930, and is now on file in said office; and It appearing that the 8th day of December, 1930, at 8 :00 otclook p.m., dt the City Hall, in said city, was fixed by the Council for hearing and consider - 1bg ob,9otions to said assessment roll; and It further appearing, that the time for filing protests having expired and the time for hearing and considering the same having arrived and no protests having been filed, and said assessment roil having been fully and duly considered . by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, and having been found legal, valid, correct, fair and just, and in compliance gvith the laws of the State of Idaho, and the Ordinances of the City of Caldwell, in all particulars; now, it is hereby ORDERED, by the Mayor and Oounoil of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: Section 1. That the assessment roll of Local Street Improvement District No. 13, for the City of Oaldwell, in the County of Canyon, State of Idaho, be and the acme is hereby approved and confirmed. Sec. 2. That the said assessment roll be placed in the hands of the City Treasurer for collection, and that due notice of the time, place end meaner of making cash payments of the assessments contained in said assessment roll be given in the manner provided by the laws of the state of Idaho and the ordinances of the City of•Caldwell. Thersupdn Councilman Bollman presented the following resolution; and moved its adoption; — RESOLUTION NO. 66 By Bollmen A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN SPECIAL CITY ' TAXES, LEVIED AND ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROffiRTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBA ED, AND NOW DELINQUENT. Whereas it has been made to appear to -the satisfaction of the Mayor and the City Council, that the properties herein particularly described have been assessed by the city for special taxes including sprinkling, weed cutting and eto., and that none of said taxes have been paid, and that the same are now delinquent against said properties, and Whereas it has been made to appear that the present owners of all of said properties are desirous of improving said promises, and when so improved will place them on a tax paying basis, and (n Whereas, application has been made to oanoell all such delinquent texeta against each of said properties, and Whereas, it appears to be to the, beet interest of the Said City to cancel the same, Now therefore it is ordered and this does order that the City Treasurer cancel the delinquent taxes now levied against Lots 13 to 18 in Block 18 of Darman's Addition to Caldwell, and Block 9 99 Steupenberg & Hands Washington,Heighte Addition; Lots 11, and 12 of 131ook 9 Original townsite of Caldwell, Idaho, and Lots,S and 6 of Block 110 Strahorn''s ,addition to Caldwell, Idaho. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll which resulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative, Bollman, Dickene, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and sandmeyer. Those voting in the negative, none.. Ab and not voting, None. Whereupon the Mayor declared the Motion oarried and Resolution No. 56 adapted, and the Mayor _directed the Ole rk to reoord the same upon the journal of the proceedings of the Council as part of the minutes of this meeting. Thereupon the Mgyor in open session of the Council duly signed and approved said resolution and , the Clerk duly signed and attested the same. BILL NO. 22 entitled.
