FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That on and after the expiration of the said
thirty (30) day period from the fitst publication of this notice'as herein stated, the
same will be extended on the Local Improvement Assessment Docket and that all persons de-
siring to redeem their property from the assessment, thereafter, shall be required to pay
in addition to the amount of assessment, penalties, interest aril costs as required by law.

The'.Regular.ffionthly Meettag.of the City Council.-met in the Council Room of the Clt
Hall, with the Mayor, Emery L. Vassar, presiding.
On Roll Call the following councilman answered present: Edger L. Oakes, F.D.
vfumford, W.S.Boynton, G. M. Fenrid., G.W. Montgomery and M.R. Hollingsworth. Absent:
None.
The Minutes of November 2nd., and 23rd., were read and approved as read.
Mr. Finley, representing the Finley Poster Adv. Co., of Nampa, appeared before
the Council and asked permission to leave sign boards on South Kimball Avenue. This re-
quest was rejected by the Council and Mr. Finley informed the Mayor and Council that the
sign boards would be removed by January lat.
Mr. W.W. Harris appeared before the Council and offered the City $35b for Block
89, Mountain View addition. This ot'fer was rejected by the Mayor and Council
J. E. Hire asked permission to place a trailer lunch stand at the corner Of 9th
and Blaine Street. The Mayor referred this matter to the Building Inspector.
The A�ayor appointed a Committee consisting of Councilman Oakes, City'Attorney and
Dity`Engineer to investigate the irrigation tades.
This being the time set for the second reading of Bill -Uo. =4 Proposed Ordinance
539, it was moved by Mumford, seconded by Montgomery that the rules requiring the reading
of an Ordinance on three separate days be suspended and that Proposed Ordinance No. 539,
be read second time by title and the third time in full, section by section, and place
on its final passage. The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on the Motion with
F the following results: Those voting in favor of the motion were: Oakes, Boynton, Mumford,
Fenrieh,,Montgomery, and :Hollingsworth. Those opposed: None. The Mayor then declared
the motion carried by the necessary three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read
the Prop�aed Ordinance the second time by title and the third time in full, section by
section., The Clerk read the Propg5ed Ordinance asldirectede The question then being,
"Shall the Proposed Ordinance No. 539 pass ". The Mayor directed the Clerk to call ,the Roll
with the result. Those voting in favor were: Oakes, Boynton, Fenrich, Mumford.

Hollingsworth and Montgomery. Those opposed: None. Thereupon the mayor
proposed Ordinance No. 539, had passed, and the Mayor, in open session of the Council duly
signed and approved the Ordinance, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same, which
became Ordinance No. 539.
The Mayor then directed the Clerk to make proper entry of the same and to cause
Ordinance No. 539, to be printed in the Caldwell Newa- Tribune, the official newspaper of
the City of C Idaho.

read the Proppsed Ordinance the second time by title and the third time in full, section
by section. The Clerk read the Propaed Ordinance as directed. The question then being

duly signed and approved the Ordinance, and the Clerk duly signed and attested the same,
which became Ordinance No. 541.

Councilman Montgomery presented the following preamble and resolution and moved
the adoption thereof which motion was seconded by Councilman Mumford.
It was brought to the attention of the Mayor and Council that the case of the
State of Idaho, vs. Franc: McDougal, is now pending in the Police Court and that a number
of the Councilman were conversant with the facts in the case and were of the opinion that
a conviction could not be had were the case tried and that a trial of the ease would
sult in an acqultal and be an expense to the City and,
.THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Attorney be and he Is hereby directed
to file a- motion for the dismissal of the case and the Police Judge upon the filing of
said motion is requested to dismiss the case.
, •A yea and nay vote was had thereon, with the following results
-Yea: Oakes, Mumford, r'enrich, Boynton, Montgomery and Hollingsworth.
Nay: None.
-Absent and not voting: None
-Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion 4uly carried and the preamble and reso3.-
Ldtion duly adopted.
-No further business coming before the Council, it was moved by Hollingsworth,
seconded by Boynton that Council adjourn. Motion carried.
