COUNCIL CHAMBERS, DECEMBER 5 1932 9 :00 P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms with the Mayor, Fred L. Lilly, presiding. On Roll Call, the following Councilmen answered present; M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G. Keiater, 0. E. Bales; 0. M. Johnston, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar. The Minutes of November 2nd., November 7th. and November 21st, were read and approved as read. L. D. Caldwell appeared and asked that the street in front of his blacksmith shop be filled in and graded. The matter was taken under advisement. Steve Bow appeared and asked that the ZUAHNMN fees for Licenses for Pool Halle be lowered . On motion made by Dickens and seconded by Keiater the matter was taken under advisement. The Clerk then read Resolution No. 17 by 0. E. Bales as follows: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, NEEDED FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, AND DIRECTING THE CLERK OF SAID CITY TO ISSUE A WARRANT THEREFOR., WHEREAS, John D, Finok, of 0aldwell_Idaho,•1s the owner of certain real property in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, described, needed for municipal p and � WHEREAS, Said John D. Finok has offered to sell said property to said 7ity of Caldwell, Idaho, for the �um of Fifty Dollars ( 050.00), which said sum is a reasonable price therefor, and WHEREAS, Said property is located between the City Pump House and the City Pater Tank across which said property the 01ty Water Maine must be placed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO. Section 1. That the offer of said John D. Finok for the sale of said premise, :ereinafter described is hereby accepted and the Clerk of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, is isreby authorized and directed to secure a deed to said premises and issued to said John ). Finok a warrsnt,for the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) upon the City of Caldwell, Idaho, therefor. Section 2. That said property Is described as follows, to -wit: " Commencing at a point which is South Sixteen (16) degrees and Fifty -three (53) minutes West and 4 57- 5 feet from the Northeast (NEC corner of Section Twenty -two (22) Township Four (4) North of Range Three (3) West of the Boise Meridian, and running thence South Forty -nine (49) degrees•and Thirty - three (33) minutes West 123.9 feet to the point of beginning; thence South Forty -nine (49) degr ®es and Thirty -three (33) minutes West 171.1 feet; thence North 134.9 feet; thence South Seventy -nine (79) degrees and Thirty -five (35) minutes East 132.4 feet to the point of beginning and oontaining 0.20 of an acre more or less, all in the City of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho. PASSED By the Council this 5th. day of December, 1932. APPROVED By the Mayor this 5th, day of December, 1932. Finok for the sum of Fifty ( X50.0 )ollars. On Roll Call, the following Councilmen voted in favor of the above motion: M. S. )andmayer, A. G. Keiater, 0. E. Bales, 0, M. Johnston, Joe Dickens and E. L. Vassar. Those ,pposed, None. Absent and not voting, None. The Mayor then deolared the above Resolution carried by the neopeaary vote. December 5, 1932 The Bills for November were read and on motion made by Sandmeyer and seconded by Vassar that these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amounts all of which had been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Certified Public Accountants, offering to Audit the books and accounts of the City for the sum of $ 225.00. The Clerk then read Resolution No. 19 by C. M. Johnston as follows: ' A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING @H& BID OF GEORGE B. MIDDLETON & COMPANY, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO AUDIT THE BOOKS OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO•FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY L, L932, AND ENDING MAY 1,1933. WHEREAS, George-B. Middleton & Company, Certified Public Accountants, have submitted a bid to the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to audit the books of said City for the fiscal year ending the first day of May 1933 for the sum of $ 225.00, skid audit i to be composed of an audit of the first six months of said fiscal year, and a final audit of the entire fiscal year, and WHEREAS, said sum of $ 225.00 is to be paid, $ 100.00 with the first audit, and 125.00 with the second and final audit, and WHEREAS, said City Council has determined that it is-for the beat interest of said city that said bid be.acoepted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Id Section 1. Middleton & Company, Certified Public Acoountan to audit the books of .the City of Caldwell, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning-the first) day of May, 1932, and-ending the first day of May, 1933, said audit to consist of a six- months audit and a complete audit for the entire fiscal yeas, for the sum of 225.00, payable as eforesaid,.is hereby accepted.
