Council met in regular session with _Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilmen Elmer A. Clark, J. G. Gartin, Jas. Harris, I. Y. Paynta present; C. J. Shorb, Clerk, when the following business was transactedt Thos. Norris made a request that he be allowed cr.idit for fill along Lot 1, Block 2, Original Townsite, because the dirt was to }-.en therefrom to make arproaehea to the Fifth Avenue bridle, also that he be credited for interest on sidewalk for tl_e reason that he had paid tl.e claim against him for sidewalk as soon as he was notified. Councilman Devers enters. Tl.e following resolution wan introduced by IIevers and +:adopted without a dissenting votes In the matter bf the petition of the Idaho Promotive and Protective Aesooia- tion that the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, ,join in the petition to the TT.S. Reclamation Service relative tc tle conservation of .vatern, etc., the following resolution is hereby adolted F.esulvedt- That it is Uie ,judEerent of the Mayor and Council of the said City of Caldwell, Tdalo, that the said r'ity should co- operate with this Association so long as mutual interests are Tror,ote thereby and it is further resloved that the groper officials of said City are hereby authorised to sign the adtd petition on behalf of the said city. Voted, on notion of Clark, that, a eomuittee connisting of the Mayor, City Attorney and City Entinaer, meet Saturday the 1Cth inst. with the directors of the Pioneer Irrigatiod District and J. A. McGee to consider Mr. McCee's prorosition. The claim of the Mueller Mfg. Co., in the sum of ,651.10 fnr fittings was allowed on the Water Works Fund, also claipi of the Pacific Coast Fire Co. for wood Tire for Cemetery in the sum of $:1150.57 be allowed on the same fund. A motion was made by Pa. that the claim of G. H.lbller be allowed with. extras. Tba roll being called on the motion, the vote resultede Ayes - - Devern, Gartin, Paynter--3. Nays -- Clark, Harris, - -2. Absent -- Farrar. So the motion was lont. A motion was rrade by r'lark that the slain, of W. L. Wooley be allowed in the sum of +!78.00. A motion was made by Paynter that tbeclaim of Mrs. Nellie Williams be allowed in the sum of 110.00. The roll being called on the motion, the vote resulted: Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -5. Nays - -0. Absent -- Farrar. So the motion prevailed. A motion was made by Clark that the cl.aimar F. L. Keller be allowed in the sum of X80.10. The roll being called on the motto n, the Dte resulted: Ayes -- Clark, Dever:, Cartin, Harris, Paynter-45. Nays - -0. Absent -- Farrar. So ti:e motion prevailed. A motion was made by Clark that Warrant No. 255 payable, to Gordon & Adams on the Road Fund be cancelled, and that a warrant for that amount be drawn on the @eneral Fund. The roll baina, called on the motion, the vote resulted: Ayes -- Clark, Devers, Gartin, Harris, Paynter - -5. Nays - -0. Absent -- Farrar. So the motion prevailed. Voted, on motion of Harris that Council adjourn until Monday, December 12, 1910, at 7330 P. M. Monday, Decembef 12, 1910. Councilmet in regular session purauant to adjourn- ment pith Mayor Gowen presiding, and Councilmen Clark, Gartin, Harris, Paynter, present, Shorb, Clerk. The matter of rebate on Thomas Norris' taxes for fill was referred to Street Committee to report next Monday evening. Petition of H. 1 1 I. Dorman, et al, praying that "a public road be established in said City, twenty -five feet in width hairing its point of beginning and termination, course and intermediate points as °ollo+me: Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 33 in Twp. 4, north of Range 3 weet B. M., in the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, State of Idaho, and from thence extending south(25 feet in width, on the east side of the soetion line), along the east side of said section line a distance of one mile to the southwest corner of said Section 33." and that a public road 3ieretofora established in said City and'Counell 50 feet in width and having its points of beginning and termination, ourea and intermediate points as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 33 in Twp, 4, N. R. 3 W. A. M. ( and being 50 feet in width on the north side of said line), and from thence e <tending east on the north side of and along the south line of saliVrivarter- quarter a distane° of forty rods „ bo abandoned and the property reverted to the owner of the tract of ,Bich the same is a part. Said road is no longer useful for any purpose after the establishment of the road proposed by the accompanying petition ".
