COUNCIL CFA"BERS, DECE^193ER 4th., 1939. 8;00 P.M. � f The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met In the Council Room of the City Hall, with the Mayor, Edgar L, Oakes, presiding. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present; VJ.E,Babcock, C. 0. Mc- Dpnel, Oscar Stengel, IN.B. Handford, 7. M. Fenrich and M. S,Sandmeyer, The Minutes of November 6th., and 20th., were read and approved as read. Mr. J. N.Tucker appeared before the Mayor and Council and presented a petition from the Christian Church petitioning permission to erect a Church on City lots in Golden Gate Addition. The Mayor referred this matter to the Building .T Mr, Dave Dorsey and Mr. E Crook, representing the C.H. Oil Co., appeared be- fore the Mayor and Council and requested permission to install two gas pumps at the Drive In Market on the corner of llth., and art"ur. The Paayor informed these gentlemen that they would have to take do matter up with the Zoning Committee. ^ 1 and'Card °oom License Application for Beer License /was read from R.W. Jasper, the fee accompanying the application. Moved by Babcock, seconded by Stengel that this application be rejected. A Yea and May vote was had thereon with the following result; Yea; Babcock, Stengel, Handford, McDannel, Fenrich and Sandmeyer. Nay: None, Absent and not voting None, Theroupon the Piayordeclared the motion carried. Moved by Sandmeyer, seconded by Babcock that the City co- operate with the Christi .n Church in the building of a Christian Church in the Golden Gate Addition. Motion c arried. The Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Minnie Davenport tendering her resignation from the Library Hoard. Moved by McD.nnel, seconded by Fenrich that the Council accept this resignation.
