There being no further business to cometefore the _Council it was moved by Blunt, sevonded by Newman that Council adjourn. Moti ^n carried. I City Clerk. Mayor. COUNCIL CHAMB'RS DECEMBER 2, 1941. 8.00 Y. M. The Council met on the Ca11 of the Mayor, with the Mayor, H.E. McCluskey, presid• ing. On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Wilbur Dakan, F.E. New- man, C. 0. McDannel, Floyd Blunt and E,E, Fresher. Absent: Thurlow Bryant; The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to tbke up the matter of a new tractor for the Road "apartment. Mr. Frasher advised the Council that he had talked by telephone to Mr. Bryant, Chairman of the Finance Committee, regarding this meeting but Mr. Bryant informed him he would be unable to attend but that he was in full knowledge and accord with the intention of this meeting. After considerable discussion it was decided to buy anAllis Chalmers Tractor at a cost of 6000.00, and the Mayor instructed the City Engineer to sign the requisition for the same. Moved'- bt Frasheri'�seconded by Dakan that the City Engineer be authorized to purchase snAllis Chalmers Tractor. A MeecBnda Nay vote was had thereon with the following result: Xea}, Dakan, Newman, McDannel, Blunt and Frasher Nay: None. Absent and not voting: Bryant. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion had carried. The Mayor appointed D. J. Winters as temporary SHOP FOREMAN. Moved by Dakan, seconded by Blunt that this appointment be confirmed. Motion carried. Negative: done. Absent and not voting: Dekan. The Ms7or declared the motion had passed by the ecessary three - fourths maiority a nd directed the Clerk to read Bill No ll,.the second time by title and the third time In full, section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as ireeted. The question then being "Shall Bill No 11, pass ?" The Mayor directed the Clerk o call the roll on the above question which resulted as follows: Those voting in the 8ffir ative were: Eryant, Ne,m. an, Frasher, Blunt and T. Dannel. Negative: None. Absent and of voting: Dekan. Thereupon the rryor declared Bill No 11, had passed and the Nlayor in open session f the Council duly signed and approved the Bill, and the Clerk duly signed and attested he same which became Ordinance 584. The Vsyor directed the Clerk to make proper entry of he same and to cause Ordinance No 584, to be published in the Caldwell News- Tribune, the I fficial newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
