The Council met in regular session wroth Mayor Smedd, preading, Councilmen, Fouling,
Simbrough,11umford,. Hobb,& Wheeler, present, and Harmon, absent.
Minutes of previous sessions were read and approved.
Mrs.Salena Fle mions appeared before the Council and asked for a Rebate on
Delinquent Water Taxes on different properties. It was voted on motion of gimbrough,
seconded by Mumford, that the Mayor appoint a committee to investigate and report back
to the Council. The Mayor appointed Feulin94O'Wheeler.
Bartlett,Bngineer for the O.S.L.R.R.CO. asked for a renewal of the Contract his Co.
has for the use of.81ty Water at a flat rate of $70 per month for two years.
It was voted on motion of Fouling, seconded by kimbrough, that the Contract be
renewed.
This being the -time set to consider bide for the removing of , and in Roswell Ditch,
the same to be used on theetreote, it was voted on motion of Dudord, seconded by
Wheeler, that the City Clerk open the same, which were as follows:
J.R.Rankin,9 ate per yard; S.G, Smith, 20ats per yPrd;H.Horni3ag,26ots per yard;Dave Shewey,
20 ate per yard;and A.F.Ragele,9+ ate per yard. It .vas then voted on motion of Fouling,
seconded by Wheeler, that the bid of d.R.Rankin for 9ots•per yard be accepted.
The Mayor Appointed J.J.Allioen a member of the Library Board,vioe W.S.Hawkes,deceaed
It was voted on mptiogof M umford, asoonded by Fouling, that the appointment be
confirmed.
Resolution A, by Mumford, was presented:
Whereas, the City of Caldwell,owne the following described labda and premises in the
said City,to -wit: 611 of Block twenty one(21) of Fair Acres g ddition,Lote 7 to It
if Block 18,0riginal Townsite,Blooke 26,31,Lote 1 &E.Blook 22,Lots 3 to G,and 11 to 20
Block 26,all Block 24, all in Hasbrouck Addition,and Block 138 of Strahorn Addition, and
whereas, the said lands above named have during the years of 1920,1921,1922, and 1923
been assessed for state,county, aitypurposes, and for special city improvements, and,
park
whereas, ell of the said premises are used by the said city for public purposes, and,
Whereas, the same appear delinquent on the records of the County Tau Collector, in
eo far ae City Taxes and improvement taxes are oonoerned,
Row,Therefore, be it realoved by the layor and Council of the City of Caldwell,
Canyon County,Idsho, that all of the said taxes be cancelled, and that the City Clerk
forward a copy Of this resolution to the Tax Collector for his guidance in the matter,,
that the taxes so desired cancelled, are contained in the Tax Colleatars Notices of
the following numbers to- wilt:544W , ,6460,6230,1923 notioIso, and
numbers 68 1,689,692, 693,686,457,1922 notioes,and numbers 990, and 1696,1921 Notices,
and 688,1920 Rotices,and 563,1919 Notices. It was voted on motion of Mumford,eeoond-d
by Wheeler, that the above resolution be adopted.

It was voted oA motion of Fouling, seconded by Mnmford, that matter of relief
taken under advisement, and a committee of inoestigation be appointed. The Mayor
appointed %imbrough.
It was voted on motion of Wheeler, eeoond @d gimbrough, that the bills as approved be
allowed and warrants ordered drawnon the various funds as follows:

The C. ,nil met in regular session.pgrauant to adjournment, with Mayor Smaed, preeiding,
Councilmen Feuling,Harmon, Kimbrough,Memford, & Wheeler, present,and Robb, absent.
It w s voted on motion of Harmon, seconded by Fouling, that the Mayor appoint a Committee of
two torepo book at the next meeting, concerning the request of Wm. Bill a,$epresentative of the
Continents 011 Co. for more businese. The Mayor appointed Kimbrough & Fouling.
Harmon reported that a tentative oontract with the P.I.D. in regard to the City's taking over
the distriyation of the Irrigation within a certain portion was of the City, as outlined in the
Contract, istl been secured. It eras voted on motion of F ouling, seconded by Wheeler,that the report
of the comiittee be accepted and the Committee be continued.
Res lution No.5 by Harmon, was presented:

Whezoali, it has been made to appear to the Mayor and City Council,that the Pioneer Irrigation
District miintaine and operates a portion of their irrigation system within the corpoegts limits of
the said C ty of Galdwell,ldsho, and,
Whereas the maintenance and operation pf said system by the Pioneer Irrigation Dietriat causes
an overlap Ping of work by and between said District and said City, and causes a condition to arise
which is n t for the beat interest of all oonoernsd, and,
