Health, Boise, Idaho, regarding the inspection of milk.
Mr.Bovey former.Milk.Inspector for Caldwell recommended the appointment of Mr.
Vernon Harris as Milk Inspector, also, postponing 'the enforcement of the Milk Ordinance
until March lat., 194,.
The Mayor appointed VERNON HARRIS, as NILK INSPECTOR, without compensation.
Moved by Dakan, seconded by Bryant that this appointment be confirmed. Motion
carried.
There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by
Bryant, seconded by Newman Council adjourn. Motion carried.

COUNCIL CHAMBERS,

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Room of the
City H„11, with the Mayor H.E. McCluskey, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Thurlow Bryant, Wilbur
Dakan, F. E. Newman, Floyd Blunt and E.E. Frasher. Absent: C. O. McDOnnel.
The Minutes of November 5th., and 10th., were read and approved as read'.
The matter of leasing a certain tract of land on the East Side of Highway # 30,
.belonging to the City of Caldwell, to W. T. Bunt & Sons, was brought to the attention of
the Mayor and Council.
After a discussion of this matter it was moved by Newman, seconded by Blunt
that the City enter into an agreement with W. T. Bunt & Sons. Motion arried.
Mr. Hugh Ackley presented a petition to the Mayor and Council, signed by propert
owners, petitioning that North 'Kimball Avenue, from Elgin Street to the intersection of
Highway # 30, be included in the Commercial Zone. This matter was left on the table.
Moved by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that the Pioneer Irrigation Levy for 1902,
be set up the same as the 1941 Levy. Motion carried.
_This being the time set for the third reading of Bill No 9, Proposed Ordinance
No. 582, the Mayor instructed the Clerk to read Bill No 9, in full, section by section.
The Clerk read the Bill gs directed. The question then being "Shall Bill No 9, pass?"
The Mayor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above question which resulted as
follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Bryant, Dakan, Newman, Blunt and Frqsher.
Negative: None. Absent and not voting: McD"nnel.
Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 9, had passed and directed the Clerk to
make proper entry of the same and tocause Ordinance No. 582, to be published in the Cald-
well News Tribune the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
The Bills for--November were read and on motion by Bryant, seconded by Blunt that
these Bills be allowed and Warrants be ordered drawn for the various amouhts all of which
aad been approved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Motion carried.

The Council met on the Csll of the Mayor, with the Mayor, H.E. McCluskey, presid -J
ing.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Wilbur Dakan, F.E. New-
man, C. 0. McDannel, Floyd Blunt and E,E, Fresher. Absent: Thuriow Bryant;
The Mayor informed the Council the meeting was called to take up the matter of
a now tractor for the Road Lepartment,
Mr. Frasher advised the Council that he had talked by telephone to Mr. Bryant,
Chairman of the Finance Co:mnjttee,regarding this meeting but Mr. Bryant informed him he
would be unable to attend but that he was n full knowledge and accord with the intention
of this meeting.
After considerable discussion It was decided to buy anAllis Chalmers Tractor
at a cost of $6000.00, and the Mayor instructed the City Engineer to sign the requisition
for the same.

A Yeer:tnda Ray vote was had thereon with the following result: Yea! Dakan,
Newman, McDannel, Blunt and Frasher, Nay: None. Absent and not voting: Bryant.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion had carried.
The Mayor appointed D. J. Winters as temporary SHOP FOREMAN.
Moved by Dakan, seconded by Blunt that this appointment be confirmed. Motion
carried.
