Burrell, Emile Shorb, Geo Cleveland, and J. M. Bettis. Absent: L. P. Eldredge. Also present wares Martin Warberg, Clair Weeks, T. C. Blacker, J. B. Holden and Geo Crockbam, Jr. Directors of the Caldwell Cooperative Gas Association, Inc., and Earl Reynolds, representing Cornell, Howl& Hayes and Merryfield. .Mr. Reynolds explained -the feasibility survey for natural gas as prepared by his comparsy There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Bettis, seconded by Councilman Blomquist that Council adjourn Motion carried. 'A. on the 22nd day of November, 1955, for the transaction of all business in connection with the following objects Approval of rates for the Distributi: of Natural Gas, which object was submitted to each of the undersigned in writing. Burrell, Geo Cleveland, Emile Saorb, L. P. Eldredge and J. M. Bettis. The City Engineer gave his report on adjustments to the Assessment Rolls of Local Improvement Districts Nos. 27, 25 and 35. Thereupon it - was moved by Councilman Bettis, seconded by Councilman Burrell that the following Resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION BY COUNCILMAN BETTIS. WHEREAS, with "reference to certain assessments as contained on the assessment rolls of Local Improvement Districts No. 27, 28 and 35 as approved by the City Council on October,4th, 1955, through in— advertence certain errors occurred with reference to the assessments of certain individuals, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Caldwell to correct said errors with reference to certain assessments. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted. The matter of rat infestation was discussed. The Mayor informed the Council he had met with Mr. Cook, representative of Iystd'a Exterminators and discussed the rat problem with him. A claim presented by Superior Auto Glass was denied by the L"ouncil. Thereupon it was moved by Cleveland, seconded by Shorb that the City accept Rate B., and the (City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papers to put this into effect. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the Louncil it was moved by Councilman Bettis, seconded by Councilman Cleveland that Council adjourn. Motion carried. — Mayor. City Clerk COUNCIL CHAMBERS DECa'BER 12, 1955 8:00 P. M. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the City Council met in the Council Rooms of the City Hall, with Vie Mayor Jason C. Smith presiding. Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: Fran Blomquist, L. E. Burrell, George Cleveland, Emile Shorb, L. P. Eldredge and J. M. Bettis. Applications for Bear License were read from E1 Adobe, Jess's Drive Inn, Elks' Club, Bows Con— fectionery, C & I Tavern, Frank Maenaka, Art Milliner, Art & Roy's Sport Shop, J & H Cafe, Waldorf Cigar Store, Wilson Beer & Lunch, Patton's Grill, Stahls Beverage Co., Caldwell Bowl Lunch, Brink's Inc., Saratoga Club, The Tavern, the fee accompanying each application. Moved by Blomquist, seconded by Burrell that these licenses be granted. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Applications for Liquor Licenses were readfrom El Adobe, Frank Maenaka, Saratoga Club, The Tavern Elk's Club and Wilson's Beer & Lunch, the fee accompanying each application. Moved by Burrell, seconded by Blomquist that these Licenses be granted. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Applications for Pool License were readfrom Brink's Inc, Waldorf Cigar Store and Art & Roy's Sport Shop, the fee accompanying each application. Moved by Shorb, seconded by Cleveland that these Licenses be .granted. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried. Applications for Card License were read from Waldorf Cigar Store and Art and Rot's' Sport Shop, the fee accompanying each application* - Moved by Shorb, seconded by Cleveland that these Licenses be granted. Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimously carried.
