COUNCIL CHAMBERS NOV. 21, 1927.
8:00 P. M.
Counoil met in regular session persuant to adjournment of Nov. 10, 1927, with
Mayor Dunlap presiding and the following Councilmen present; DAVIS, DUTTON, HOFFMAN,
JACKSON, MOCONNEL AND ZWORD. ABSENT; NONE.
It was voted on motion of Jgokson, seconded by Dutton, that t1is Mayor be
authorized to enter into a contract with the 0. S. L. Ry. Co. to supply oity water to
said company for the period of two years at the present rate of monthly rental.
The American Surity Co. Bond of 41000.00 written for Dr. J. W. Gue, City Health
Officer, expiring May 6, 1929, was presented.
It was voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Modonnel, that the bond of
Dr. J. W. Gus be approved.
Sealed bade for the construction of Tourist Park dabins were presented and order
opened, which were as follows;
H. J. MoNeel, Cabins with Auto sheds, $298.00, without sheds, 0258.00
Anderson M. Cos, " " " " 264.00, " 214.00
Whelchel Bros., " " " " 287.00, " " 257.00
After considerable discussion the matter of final decission of the bids was
deferred for further investigation.
W. H. Guerin appeared before the 0ounoil, and resigned as Dog Tax Collector.
Gounoilman Davie reported that the residents in the vaoinity of Linden and
Illinois Streets wants to have the city place a street light taskaft on the corner of
said street. Owing to the additional expense it was decided not to have the street
light installed at thbe time.
It was voted on motion of uavie, seconded by Hoffman, that Council adjourn.
