Dear Sir: You are herewith requested to call a special meeting of the City Counoll of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, to convene in the regular council chamber on the evening of November 18th., 1918, at eight o'clock P. li. for the purpose of considering, dis- cussing, and making any contracts, plans and arrange- ments that maj be deemed advisable, covering the con- struction and repair of City 3treete, Avenues, Allays and highways, and the purchase of material and equip- ment therefor. Forbes submitted a tentative draft of agreement for furnishing road material, which was discussed by the Council. Council meet in regular session, with President of the Council, W. Grant Ward, presiding, present, Councilmon Dickens, Amos J. hiller, F. H. Miller, Uitehell and Sanberg, City Clerk, S. Ben Dunlap, when the following business was transacted: Petition of W.F.Howard, et -al, extension of water mains. Petition of w. F. Howard, et -al dated November 27th., 1918, for extension of water main south on ,iimball Avenue, was read and referred to the Superintendent of Water Works for investigation and report. Joh,i Smead, .'ewerage at Stock Yards. Mr. John Smsed appeared and requested information relative sewerage at the stock yards. Latter referred to Councilmen Amos J. Uiller, Sanberg and City Lngineer. Crossings over O.S.L and B.V.Traetion lines. Mr: Walter Griffiths appeared and requested that the Council require the O.S.L. to build the necessary fill on the highway where the same crosses the railroad right of way, on the Township line, between townships three and four. He stated that fill was necessary as approach to new bridge, which City and Ccunty and recently built. He also requested that the Boise Valley Traction 7ompany be required to build a crossing over their right of way, on the highway between Ceetions 35 and 36. It was voted upon motion of Counoilman 131tchell, that the City iittorney be instructed to notify the railroad companies aforesaid, to comply with the requests of Mr. Griffiths.
