Bill No.9,by Simbrough, entitled " An ordinance granting the petition of Charles
Howard,, and othere,: and altering and changing the boundaries of the City of Caldwell,
sad excluding therefrom the territory described in said petition ",was read for the
first time.

The Council met in regular session pursuant to adjournment with Matiypr Miller,pres
iding, Couaoilmen, Kimbrough,Mumford,0akes, and West cott,present, and Bollman and Row
and absent.
It was moved by Mumford,seeonded by Oakes, that inasmuch as there had been no cash
payments in Bawer Ditt.#M,iacoording to the written report of the city Clerk, that
an ordinance be prepared,authorizing the issuance of bonds to the amount of 623,898.

Ayes :Kimbrough,Mumford, Cakes, and Westoott.

Absent: Bollman and Rowland. So the Mayor deolared the Motion carried. The Clerk yb
was authorized to makr proper entry of the same and have the same published in the
Caldwell Tribune, the official newspaper of the City of Caldwell,Idaho.
It was voted on motion of Oakes that W.A.MoGee be allowed to connect with Sewer
Dist.#3 at the alley between Arthub and Main STS. on I8th Ave. for the sumof V2oe
The Street Committee was giten power to act in the matter of opening up street
between Kimball and 9th on Irving St.
It was voted on motion of K3mbrough that the Mator appoint committee of invest
igation for a light on the corner of IOth Ave. and Elgin St. The Mayor appointed
Mumford,g011man, and Kimbrough.
It was meted On motion of Oakes that Kimbrough be giten power to act on the matter
of trading Adding Machine.
The fillowing'Resolution by Mumford was read,
Whereas,'Ohio Avanue,iaxtending from L Street to N Street, is not now and has not
been used as a street or public highway, and is not needed for such ptrposee,
Now,Therdfore, be it resolved by the IkWor and Bounoil of the city of '"sldwell,!
that Ohio Avenue,! extending from L Street - N Street,la distance of 2 blocks, be
and the same is hereby authorized to be closed and vacated.
It was voted on motion of Wastoott that the Resolution, as reed, be adopted.
It was voted on motion of Oakes that we adjourn to Nov.2
