This bid was referred to Councilman Cleveland and Fire Chief for study, There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Bettis, seconded by Councilman Eldredge that Council adjourn. Mason, representing Intermountain Gas Co., Martin Yfarb -rg member of the Caldwell Co- operative Gas Association and Carl Carlson of the Dativymen's Cc- operative ii Creamery. The Vayor informed the Counc 1 the meeting was called to discuss a proposed franchise with the Intermountain Gas Co., Mr. Gibson stated if a franchise was granted the Intermountain Gas Cc, work would start immediately and gas could be delivered to the industrial areas by December 15. The Mayor informed Mr. Gibson as soon as the - franchise'was "drafted the Coftncil would meet to study the same. Moved by Burrell, seconded by Bettis the City Engineer consult wi th enj;ineers of the Intermountain Gas Cc, on the proposed construction of gas lines. A report from State Insurance Fund of accidents and costs for the City of Caldwell for 1955 was ;J discussed. The Mayor instructed the City Engineer to hold safety meetings to try and cut down the number of accidents. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Councilman Bettis, ',I seconded by Councilman Cleveland that Council adjourn.
