The City Attorney was instructed to investigate the matter of vacating oerdain
lots and blooke in Mountain View Addition, as petitioned by Major Hudgins, at al, as of
June 6, 1987.
A letter was read from G. M. Ernst, asking permission to build coal bunkers on
the edge of city property, corner 9th and Albany streets abutting the railroad right -of-
way. The matter was referred to the 9treet Committee and Sutton.
Monthly reports of the CityOlerk, Sexton, Hire Chief, Supt. of Parke and
Gasoline Record by Fire Chief was read and ordered filed.
It was voted on motion Jackson, seconded by Mamford, that dounoil adjourn to
Nov. 10, 1987, at 10 :00 A. M.

persuant to adjournment of Nov. 7, 1927,
Oounoil met in regular session /with Mayor Dunlap presiding, and the following
Councilmen present; DAVIS, DUTTON, JACKSON, HOFFMAN AND MUMFORD. ABSENT: MCCONNEL.
The Mayor called attention to the Counoil that the 8ohool Board of Independent
80hool District No. 28 deeSed it advisable to olose to City Public 9lohooie, acting on
the suggestion od the County Board of Health and Canyon dounty Medioal Association, in
order to safeguard against the Infantile Paralysis epidemic that was in Boise, and further,
that the dity of daldwell should be eafegnarded by organizing a dity Board of Health, as
provided in Ordinance No. 135.
The Mayor Appointed Dr. J. W. Gus as City Health Officer.
It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Davis, that the appointment of
Dr. J. W. Gue as Oity Health Officer be oonfirmed.
The Mayor appointed Mumford, Hoffman and Jackson as members of the City Health
Hoard. It was voted on motion of Momford, seoonded by Hoffman, that the appointment
be oonfirmed.
Dr. J. W. Gue, as chairman of the Hoard of Health, was given power to hire a
nose as the occasion demanded.
It WOO voted on motion of Jackson, seconded by Hoffman, that Council adjourn to
Nov. 21, 1927. at 8:00 P. M.
