SPECIAL MEETING
November 9, 1995
12:00 Noon
The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Winder.
The Mayor requested that everyone stand for the Pledge of
Allegiance.
The Roll of the City Council was called with the
following members present: Nancolas, Langan, Houchins
and Raymond. Absent: Carpenter and Earl.
(CANVASS THE VO'T'ES FOR THE CITY ELECTION - 1995)
Mayor Winder stated that the purpose of the Special
Meeting was for the official canvass of the votes for the
Municipal Election held on November 6, 1995, for three
City Council seats. The total votes cast in Caldwell
numbered 1,497 or 17.051 which was not a good turn out.
The City has an agreement with the Canyon County Election
Board to tabulate the vote which resulted in the final
returns:
CITY COUNCIL
For Seat No. 4, Four year term
Dan Evans 695
Mike Nachtigall 366
Eugene Spencer Smith 365
For Seat No. 5, Four year term
Chuck Houchins 1,128
For Seat No. 6, Four year term
Bob Busch 515
Bill Roos 307
Rick Wells 618
MOVED by Langan, SECONDED by Houchins that the City
Council accept the final vote on the Municipal Election
held on November 6, 1995, with the results as follows:
Dan Evans, Seat 4, a four year term.
Chuch Houchins, Seat 5, a four year term.
Rick Wells, Seat 6, a four year term.
Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Langan, Houchins,
Raymond, and Nancolas. Those voting no: none. Absent
and not voting: Carpenter and Earl.
MOTION CARRIED
MOVED by Nancolas, SECONDED by Houchins that since there
was no further business, the Special Meeting be adjourned
at 12:10 p.m.
