COUNCIL CHAMBERS, NOVEMBER g , 1931
8:00 p. m.
An adjourned meeting of the City Council met on call of the Mayor, witki Mayor,
Fred L. Lilly, presiding. II I
On Roll Oall', the following Councilmen answered present; Sandmeyer, Bei'ater, Bales,
Dickens, Johnston 'and Vassar.
Fred H. Me Connel appeared and showed a drawing of a proposed building across Indian
Oreek, to be built'by the Consumers' Service Station.
After a full discussion with the County Engineer, Fred H. Me Oonnel, and with the
City Engineer, L. M. Porter, it was decided that where piling was to be driven in the
said Indian Greek, that said piling must conform to the piling already in under the
bridges across said Oreek, and that creosote piling must be used.
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Bales that the above decision be adopted by this
Council. Motion Oarried.
The Mayor appointed W. H. Guerin as Dog Catcher and Pond Master, reporting
1. W. Sawyer had resigned from the above position.
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Keieter that the above appointment be bonfirmed.
On Roll Oall those voting in favor of the appointment were: Sandmeyer, 8eiet ,
Bales, Dickens and•Johnson. Those opposed, None. Absent and not voting, Vassar.
The above appointment was, therefore, confirmed.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Johnson that this Council stand adjourned until
Monday evening November 16th. 1931 at 6:00 p. m. Motion Carried.

An adjourned meeting of the City Council met on call of the Mayor, with Mayor
Fred L. Lilly, presiding.
On Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: M. S. Sandmeyer, A. G.
geister, C. E. Bales, Joe Dickens, C. M. Johnson and E. L. Vassar.
Fred Me Connel appeared and showed a drawing of a proposed bridgb across Indian
Creek at 9th. Street and asked permission to substitute metal lath and plaster igeted of
brick or cement.
After due consideration the Council rejected the petition.
A Petition, signed by 34 persons, was read, asking the Council to place six lights
on North Simball from Freeport Street and the Bridge crossing the Boise River.
Moved by Sandmeyer and seconded by Bales that the matter be taken under advisement,
and the City Clerk be instructed to ascertain the cost of installing and maintaining
said lights. Motion Carried.
Mr. Guy Evans of the The First Security Company of Salt Lake City, Utah, appeared
and explained a plan for Funding and Refunding.the City's indebtedness.
Moved by Dickens and seconded by Vassar that the Finance Committee and the Mayor.
work with the Auditor and Mr. Evans in working out a suitable plan for refunding said
indebtedness. Motion Carried.
Moved by Sandmeyer and. seconded by Vassar that this Council adjourn until the
evening of December 3rd. 1931. Motion Carried.
