Monday evening, Noveabar 20, 1911. Cou n oil met in regulaar session jursuant
to ad}curnment with Mayor Griffiths ptseiding, and Councilan Adam, Adsm, Bardaley,
Walker, Zeh, presentl 9borb, Clerk.
Voted, on motion of Zeh, thatthebidsfor repairing the 4ity ,9911 be opened and
considered.
Bids were opened as followea
H. Bitner, $880.00.
Fred Howad, $304.00.
Voted, on motion of Zeh, that the bid of H. Bitner being the lowest and best,
bid, that the same be accepted and the contract be awarded to the said H. Bitner.
T he following resolution was read, and on motion of Walker, adoptedt
"Resolved, That whereas it will be necessary for the railroad to be built by
WSlliameMainland and hie associated and assigns under Franchise No. 203, duly passed on
the 9 *h day of November, 1911, that it will be necessary for the care thereof to main-
tain a high rate of speed along Cleveland Boulevard from Indiana Avenue to the southeast
erly city limits, and whereas the grantees of said franchise have procured a 21 -foot
private rigbt -of -way contiguous to the southwesterly side of said 0leveland Boulevard,
it is hereby ordered that the center line between rails of the track of said railway
shall be parallel with and 2 feet northeast �p from the southwesterly,side of said
Cleveland Boulevard between said points, and " 41 1 right -of -way zo* said QlaVeland.:;
Boulevard from the southeasterly aide d Indiand Avenue to the south city limits, shall
be 12 feet along the southwesterly side of said Cleveland Boulevard from the easterly
aide of Indiana Avenue to the south city limits, and in order for further protection
and public safety, the grantees of said franchise are hereby ordered to erect and main -
tain.along said Cleveland Boulevard from the southeasterly side of Indiana Avenue to
south city limits a suitable steel fence with poste properly painted and erected in a
fitst class workmanlike manner ".
