Page 311 The Mayor requested that everyone stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Roll of the City Council was called with the following members present: Houchins, Evans, Earl, Busch, and Langan. Absent: Wells. (CANVAS THE VOTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 4TH MUNICIPAL ELECTION) Mayor Winder explained that Idaho State Code, 50 -467, states that the Mayor and the City Council, within six days following any election, shall meet for the purpose of canvassing the results of the election. Upon acceptance of the tabulation of votes prepared by the Election Judges and Clerks, and the canvass as herein provided, the results of both shall be entered into the minutes of proceedings and proclaimed as final. The following were the results of the Municipal Election held on November 4, 1997: Precincts Counted 11 Registered Voters 8,822 Ballots cast 3,965 or 44.94% MAYOR Kent A. Marmon 646 Garret Nancolas 2,238 Don C. Tolley 1,015 CITY COUNCIL — SEAT NO. 1 Gerald J. Langan 3,067 CITY COUNCIL — SEAT NO. 2 Bob Busch 698 Raymond L. McLaughlin 1,194 Shannon Jo Ozuna 1,767 CITY COUNCIL — SEAT NO. 3 Rita D. Earl 1,949 Terence L. McCue 1,731 MOVED by Houchins, SECONDED by Evans that the City Council accept the final vote on the Municipal Election held on November 4, 1997, with results as follows: Garret Nancolas, Mayor — a term of four years. Gerald J. Langan, City Councilperson, Seat 1 — a term of four years. Shannon Jo Ozuna, City Councilperson, Seat 2, a term of four years. Rita D. Earl, City Councilperson, Seat 3, a term of four years. Book 38 Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Houchins, Evans, Earl, Busch, and Langan. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: Wells. MOTION CARRIED Since there was no further business, it was MOVED by Evans, SECONDED by Earl to adjourn at 12:05 p.m. Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Evans, Earl, Busch, Langan, and Houchins. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: Wells.
