Page 202 The Mayor requested that everyone stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Roll of the City Council was called with the following members present: Murdoch, Carpenter, Houchins, Raymond, Valdez. Absent: Nancolas. (CANVASS THE VOTES FOR THE CITY ELECTION) The Mayor explained that the purpose of the Special Meeting was for the official canvass of the votes for the Municipal Election held on November 5, 1991, for four City Council seats and for the Advisory Ballot pertaining to the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation District. The City has an agreement with the Canyon County Election Board to tabulate the vote which resulting in the final returns: For the City Council - Adam Danny Ozuna SEAT NUMBER 3, TWO YEAR TERM 1312 VOTES Jack R. Raymond SEAT NUMBER 4, FOUR YEAR TERM 1086 VOTES Chuck Houchins SEAT NUMBER 5, FOUR YEAR TERM 1212 VOTES Elaine Carpenter SEAT NUMBER 6, FOUR YEAR TERM 1239 VOTES MOVED by Murdoch, SECONDED by Carpenter that the City Council accept the final vote on the Municipal Election held on November 5, 1991, for four City Council seats and consider the votes canvassed. Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Murdoch, Carpenter, Houchins, Raymond, Valdez. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: Nancolas. MOTION CARRIED Results of the Advisory Ballot either to proceed with the creation of a Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing a pressure delivery system for irrigation water or In favor of the City of Caldwell dissolving the Municipal Irrigation System: L.I.D. 268 or 31.13% Dissolving the Municipal 593 or 68.87% Irrigation System MOVED by Carpenter, SECONDED by Valdez to accept the vote on the Advisory Ballot to dissolve the Municipal Irrigation System by a percentage of 68.87% to 31.13%. Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Carpenter, Houchins, Raymond, Valdez, and Murdoch. Those voting no: none. Absent and not voting: Nancolas.
