GBe, City Physician, appeared before the Council and reported that the health condition of the city very good. It was voted on motion of Jeckson, seconded by Hoffman, that Lewis Smith, Homedels, Idaho, be granted a Perpetual Care on the payment of $30.00 on Lot 180„ 81oIIk 65, Caldwell Cemetery. Hoffman reported that Public Liability Insurance of from $5000 to $10000 on all dity Trucks and Fire Equipment at an annual premium of $193.00. It was voted on motion of Mumford, seconded by Dqvis that the matter be deferred until neat meeting. Davie reported as investigating the purchase of a city team, and that one could be bought to meet the needs for about $300.00. The matter was left further with Mr. Davis 0 f f9� The City Attorney was instructed to investigate the matter of Toasting certain late and blocks in mountain View Addition, as petitioned by Major Hudgins, et al, no of June 6, 1987. A letter was read from C. M. Ernst, asking permission to build coal bunkers on the edge of city property, corner 9th and Albany streets abutting the railroad right — of. way. The matter was referred to the Street Committee and Batton. Monthly reports of the Oity0lerk, Sexton, Fire thief, Supt. of Parks and Gasoline Record by Fire dhief was read and ordered filed. M. 0 persuant to adjournment of Nov. 7, 1927, Council met in regular session /with Mayor Dunlap presiding, and the following Oounoilmen present; DAVIS, DUTTON, JACKSON, HOFFRAN AND RUMFORD. ABSENT: MCCONNEL. The Mayor called attention to the Counoil that the School Board of Independent School District No. 28 deelmed it advisable to close to City Public Schools, acting on the suggestion od the County Board of Health and Canyon Bounty Medical dlssooiation, in order to safeguard against the Infantile Paralysis epidemic that was in Boise. and farther, that the dity of Oeldwell should be safeguarded by organising a City Board of Health, as provided in Ordinance No. 138. The Mayor Appointed Dr. J. W. Quo as City Health Officer. It was voted on motion of Dutton, seconded by Davis, that the appointment of Dr. J. YF. Gue as Oity Asalth Officer be confirmed. The Mayor appointed Rumford, Hoffman and Jackson as members of the City Health Board. It was voted on motion of Rumford, seconded by Hoffman, that the appointment be confirmed. Dr. J. w. Gue, me chairman of the Board of Health, was given power to hire a nurse as the 000ssion demanded.
