Toe Council met in regular session with Mayor Smeed, presiding, Couneilmen,Feuling Harmon, Kimbrough,lftimford,Robb, & Wheeler, present. Minutes of the previous session were read and approved. Alfred F.Stone, Attorney for Fred Mitchell, Trustbe fna Bankruptcy for Walter Sebree, re uested the cancellation of Special Sidewalk Tax on Receipt # 1676 for the year 1920, which had be n erron- eously placed there. It was voted on motion of Mumford, seconded by wheeler, that the Sidewalk Assessment together with the penalty and Interest on receipt #1396 for the Ze ar 1920 be a neelled. as it appears on F*S!VNW 27 -4 -3. Alfred Klanow appeared before the Council and asked for damages from the City by using ome of his land mn making a road on the -.I- section line of Seat °on 36, running South from the Bois valley Teaction Co. Right of Way. It was voted on motions of Fouling, seconded by Harmon, that th a matter be referred to a committee, who in turn woudl report back to the 9ouneil. The following Resolution was presented ;as follows to -wit: Whefese, that certain building, situate on the rear of Lots,I9,14, & 15 of Block Eleven f the Original Town of Caldwell,Canyon County, Idaho, was sometime ago partially destroyed by fi e, and Whereas, an application to repair said building was after eareful"onsideration refused by the authorities of said City,and, Whereas, said building as at present situated and sonstitued causes a greatly increased fire hazat within the fire limits of the Cit. of Caldwell. Idaho, and, Whereas, the said building is a menace to health, persons, and society, and, whereas, the said building oonstitues a nuisance, and its removal would be for the beat interests of the people of the City of Caldwell, NO71 THEREFOR', be it resolved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, U anyon ounty, Idaho, that said building be and the same is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and s such is a menace to tie health, persona and property of the people of said City, and, be it further resolved that the City Clerk notify thr, owners of said property that the same has been decalred a public nuisance, and that the same must be removed within 30 days from reo ipt odr such notice; and that upon failure so to do the City of Caldwell will cause the removal of the same. It visa voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Harmon, that the foregoing Resolution b adopted. BILL NO.O ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN ADDITIONS TO S'EMM., ITY OF CALDWELL, CANYON COUNTY, IDAEIO ", was read for the first time, as was BILL NO.BILL NO.IO EN ITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIUF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED F.LCTORS, WHO ARE T_4S2AYERS OF THE I ITY OF CAD WELL, THE QUESTION OF ISSUING METNICIPAL COUPON BONDS OF TRF SAID CITY IN THE SUIT OF FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THEM PURCHASE OF A SI "E An FOR THE ERECTION allD CON TRUCTIOI1 Cr A SOLDIERS MEMORIAL CONSISTING OF A PUBLIC BUILDING FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, AM FOR THE F.NTERTAI ?TT OF SOLDIERS OF THE LATE EUROPEAN WAR, AND PROVDING FOR THE ISSUING OPP SAID BONDS AND FOR THE PAY7,2NT OF INTEREST THF'= iEOid, AND C"- ATING A SINKING FUND FOR THE PA LENT OF T PRIN CIPLE THEREOF BY T12 LEVY OF MUNICIPAL TAXES OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO.
