NAYES: BOLLMAN, DICZEN6, sANDMEYER. The vote of the Councilmen having resulted in a tie vote, the Mayor oast the deciding vote, which was in the affirmative and in favor of the adoption of said motion. Thereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. f _ It was moved by Leighty and seconded by Johns that the Council adjourn. Council met in regular session persuant to law, with Mayor MoConnei presiding and Councilmen BOLLMAN, DICKENS, GORDON, JOHNS, LEIGHTY AND S BI)MM E,'present. ABSENT DONE. ; Owing-to the absence of the City Clerk, the Mayor appointed Mr^. W-. C. Dyer Toting Olerk, and announced that the Council was in session for the consideration of M any business which might lawfully come before it. I Clyde C. Anderson, appeared before the Council and inquired in regards to wrecking old house on Corner Belmont and No. Kimball (Lots l & 2 Block 34 Original) The Mayor directed the Olerk to read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were ordered approved as read. Thereupon Councilmen Bollman introduced Bill No. 8, By Bollman entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS FOR LOCAL I PROVEMENTS MADE IN LOCAL STREET WROVENENT DISTRICT 30. 7 FOR THE CITY OF CALDVPELL, IDAHO, AND PROVIDING FOR'THE PREPARATION, CERTIFYING, FILLING AND CONFIRMATION OF A EEW ASSESS - MENT ROLL FOR'SAID IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT: FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE ASSESSMENTS MADE THEREUNDER: AND FOR THE PAYMENT OF WARRANTS ISSUED IN PAYMENT OF THE COST OF SAID n2ROVEMENT. ' which was read for the first time, and the Goumoil proceeded to a oon- m sideration of Bill Be. 8. It was moved by Bollman duly seconded by Dickens that all rules requiring the reading of a bill on three separate days be suspended and that Bill No. 8, be read the second time by title and the third time in full and placed on its final passage. The mayor caused the Clerk to call the roll on the motion with the following results: Those voting in the affirmative: Bollman, Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer. Those voting in the negative: None, Absent, None. So the mayor declared the motion had passed by the necessary three - fourths majority, and directed the Clerk to read Bill No. 8, the second time by title and the third time in Pull, section by section. The Clerk read the Bill as directed. The Question being ° "Shall Bill No. 8 pass" The M&yor directed the Clerk to call the roll whioh resulted as follows: .Those voting in the affirmative: Bollman, Dickens, Gordon, Johns, Leighty and Sandmeyer. Those voting in the negative: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the mayor dealared B111 No. 8 hes passed, the the the mayor and Clerk in opeld session of the Oounoil duly signed and approved said Bill which became ordinariae No: 476. Thd Mayor thereupon directed the Clerk to make the proper entry of the,same and cause Ordinance No. 475 to be published in the Caldwell News Tribune, the official newspaper of the city of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho. o n motion of Councilmen Dickens, seconded by Councilman Leighty that Mr- Swift be given a letter from City Council atating appreciation of his work in oil ing the streets. motion carried.
