The corrected repurt of the City Treasurer for the month of Auiuet r_-l•ur -L l.ur the muntL of September and report fur the quarter ending September 30th., 114, were also read. It was voted upon motion of Adams that the reports be approved. A cuRc unicatiun frum btr. R. R. Farrar, requesting that the City repair the sidewalk at the corner of sixth and Arthur streets, was read. Mr. Dick Beaty, Cement cuntractur was present and reported tl.at there were a number of places in the sidewalks of the city that were Ladly in need of repairing, and he submitted a prul•usition to do the mjura un tL. time and material baises. Mr. Camptall, Street Comnissiunur relurted that in t,is upiniun sume of tL,; sidewalks in the business sectiun should be repaired at once. The superintendent of Water Works reported that he had rclaired the Sprinkling Cranes as requested at the last meeting. Mr. Basbrouck was present and stated that the new drainage ditch nusr tieing cuc.structed by the guvernment, had dried up all. the shallow wells near Hasbruuck Park and that there was nut sufficient water to flush the sewers in that vicinity. He suggested that the City deepen one of its ,wells in the Park and thus secure flow enough to protect the Sewer system at nominal expense. It was voted upon motion of Parker that the matter be referred to tLe Water Committee with power to carry out tLc suggestion of t ^.r. Hasbrouck, Bill Nu. 16, by Ackley, entitled, "An urdinance approving and confirming the assess- ment fur sprinkling improve¢_ente in Local Sprinkling Improvement District Number One, of Caldwell, Idaho," was read fur the first time, n I A mutiun was made by Parker that the rules be suspended and that the reading on three separate days be dispensed with and that Bill Nu, lb be read the second time by title and the third timc in full and placed on its final passage. The street Comnassioner stated that in his opinion this was the time to sand the Boulevard and he suggested that the matter be taken up with the Commercial Club with a view of securing their cu- operation.
