HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-11-01city council minutes3g6 '.1TL "rAS, The Cle-land Heights F"ousing Project, Prnject No. U(V- 10132)mph -2, is a Federal Housing Project coming within the provisions of said Public Law 7 96, and � '.19=AS, The College of Idaho desires to secure ownership of said Project No. HA(V- 10132)mph -2 in accordance with Public Law above, and WHEREAS, As a prerequisite i'or such a transfer from the Federal Government to Educational Institutions it is necessary to obtain a waiver from the municipal corporation in which said housing project is located i of the removal requirements of Section 313 of Public Law 649 of the 76th Congress as amended, under which aut' - ority said housing project was erected. NOW THFRFFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the Acting Mayor a-nd Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, that the City of Caldwell with respect to Project No. HA(V- 10132�mph -2 waives the removal requirements of Section 313 of Public Law 849 of the 76th Congress as amended in so far as such waiver is required by the Federal Government in the transfer of the ovmership of said Project No. HA(V- 10132)mph -2 from the Federal Government to the College of Idaho. Upon Roll Call those voting in the affirmative weret Mason, Glaisyer, Burrell, Wers and Fenrich. r Negativet None. Absent and not votingi Harding. Thereupon the Acting Mayor declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted. There being no further business to come before the Council it was moved by Glaisyer, seconded by I, Nryers that Council adjourn. It was moved by Councilman Glaisyer, seconded by Councilman Fenrich that the rules requiring that the reading of I a Bill on three separate days be suspended and Bill No 14, be read the second time by title and the third f time in 11111 section by section and placed on the final passage. The Acting Mkyor directed the Clerk to call the roll on the above motion with the following result: Those voting in the affirmative ware : Mason, I Glaisyer, Burrell, Myers, Fenrich and harding. Negative: None. Absent and not votings None. The Acting Mawr declared the motion had assed the necessary p by three - fourths majority and directed the Clerk to read Bill No 14, the second time by title and the third time in full section by section.
