COUNCIL CHAUBBRS, NOV. IST, 1926.
The until met in regular session, Nov. let, 1926 at 8 P.M. in the Council Ghambers with
Mayor ley, presiding, Councilmen, Conley, Dutton, aimbrough, iuumford, klcO; bnel, and 'rrheiler

and regaested that his company be permitted to fix the curb on the corner of Sixth and -min
Streets, so that it would be level with the street, and place an iron grating o: the same,
It was voted on motion of Kimbrough, seconded by Mumford, that the lAayor appoint a committee
of two o investigate the same and report back to the Council. The Tayor appointed &LAbasugh
Dutton k=l Ke onnel.
This being the date set for opening bide for the construction of curbs and gutters in Local
Street Improvement District No,5, the Clerk presented to the Council the affidavit of Publication
of the ot"ioe of receiving bids in Local Street Improvement Listriot No. 5, which Affidavit Bras
and is in words and figures as follows, to -wit:

It was moved by Kimbrough, and seconded by Wheeler that the Mayor and CounoiI go into
Executive session as a committee of thw whole in the City Engineer's office for the rpose
of considering the bide for the construction of curbs and gutters in Local Street ]tpp ovement
Bistrict N0.5. Whereupon the Ilayor and Council went into Executive Session.
COUNCIL IN SESSION.
,Councilman Mo"onnel, reporting forthe Co =ittee of the Whole, stated that the Commii
had had under consideration all of the bids for the construction of curbs and gutters 9
Street Impgovement District No. 5, and after duly considering the same, recommended the
four lowest bide be retained for further consideration by the Council, and, that the ren
the bide be rejected, and deposits made by the bidders be returned. Thereupon it was m<
