And it further appearing that the time for filing objectioes and protests having expired, and

V further appearing that no objections or protests in writing have been filed in said matter; that several

persons appeared and protested as to the quality of the construction and as to the regularity or validity of
the assessment, and said Assessment Roll to ving on regularly for hearing and consideration and the same
having been fully and duly considered by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, and said
Assessment Roll, together with all lroceedings in making such assessments having by said Mayor and Council
been found regular, valid, correct, equitable, fair, just, proper and in all respects legal and according
to the laws of the State of Idaho, and the ordinances of the City of Caldwell;
NOW, THERE OBE, IT IS H `E:'Y CPDENED By the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That said Assessment Roll of Local Improvement District no. 48 of the City of Caldwell
Idaho, be and the same is hereby aoproved and confirmed;
Section 2. 'That the City Clerk shall immediately certify and file said Assessment ° oil with the
City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, for collection of said assessments according to law; and that due
notice of time, place and manner of making these nayments contained insaid Assessment Roll be given by said
�I Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, in the manner provided by the L,ws of the State of Idaho, and the or-
dinances of the City of Caldwell.
Thereunon the order was intered by unanimous vote of the Council.
Th - being no further business to came before the "ouncil it was moved by Councilman Vassar,
seconded by Councilman Finley that Council adjourn. Motion carried.

hereby ack ^.owledge notice of a snecial meeting of the said City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Caldwell, Idaho, at the hour of 5:30 o'clock P. M, on the 26th day of
October, 1960, fortransaction of all business in connection with the 'ollowing object: Receiving and open -
ing bids for Police car, which object was presented to each of the u ^dersigned in writing.

Upon Roll Call the following Councilmen answered present: E. L. Vassar, Max Luby, Emile Shorb,
L. P. Eldredge and Leland Finley. Absent :N. E. "Coley" Smith.
Police ]JV0, 1 S4l.ermen informed the Council the meeting was called to receive and oven bids on a new car
for the Police Department.
Mayor Simmerman explained to the Council the cost of repairing the police car that was involved in
an accident was so high that it seemed advisable to call for bids on a new car.
'The following are the repair estimat-s:
Burns 946.05 6 items open
Garber 1010.19 3 items oven
Mason 1046.25 9 items onen

Moved by Councilm an Finley, seconded by Councilman Eldredge the low of bid of Garber Motor be —
accepted.
Upon Roll Call it appeared the motion was unanimnusly carried.
There being no furthar business to come before the Ceancil it was moved by Councilman Vassar,
seconded by Councilman Luby that Council ad;ourn. Motion carried. J�

which was read for the first time and Council proceeded to a onsideration of Bill No. 12. It was moved
by Councilman Eldredge, seconded by Councilman Shorb that the rules requiring that the leading of a Bill on _._.
three- %varate days be suspended and that Bill No 12, be read the second time by title and the third time in
full sectin ty section and placed on the final passage. The 13apor directed the Clerk to call the Roll on
the above motion with the following result: Those voting in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Luby,
51^orh and Finley. Negative: None. Absent and not voting: None. The Mayor declared the motion had passed
by the necessary three - fourths majority anddirected the Clerk to read Bill N 12, the -eccnd time by title
and the third time in full section by section. The Clark read the Bill ns directed. The cusstior being
"Shall Bill No. 12 pass ?" The Mayor di- rected the Clerk to call the roll on the above question which re-
sulted as follows: Those voting in the affirmative were: Vassar, Smith, Luby, Shorb, rldredge and Tinley.
Negative: Nor.e. Absent and not voting: None.
Thereupon the Fa *Tor declared Bill No 12, had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Counckl -
duly signed and a reproved the Bill, and the Clerk duly si!rned andattested the same which became Ordinance No.
9611. The Mayordirect.ed the Clerk to make nronrr entry of the same and to cause Or- inance No 96h, to be,
miblished in the News - Tribune the official newspaper of the Citv of Caldwell, Icato.
