Tine Council met in regular seseion,pures.ant to adjournment, on October 25th, 1926 at 9 P.M with Mayor Saley, presiding, Councilmen, Conley, Dutton, Kimbrough, Mumford, Mcconnel, and W solar, present. C unoilman Mumford, Chairman pf the F4nance Committee submitted a report as to the conditions of the securities deposited by the City Lepositoriea as security for City Funds. Be stated that he examined such seoaritiea and found the on a eposit with the County Auditor of canyon County, pledged by the Pirst National hank of Caldwell; Trust Receipt issued by the Continental National Bank of "alt Lake City, Utah, for ten $1000.00, Notus -Parma Righway Distr of Bonds, dated Ooj;ober 1, 1925, numbered, 46,47,48,49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55, with coupons attacbed beginning with coupons maturing July tat, 1926; -. - -- 010,000.00; Three Trust receipts issued by the Continental National Bank of Salt Lake City, Utah, for United States Seconq Liberty Loan Bonds, numbered 000079753,000071188, and E00080620, in the sums of $6000.00 each; and Trust Receipt issued by the same "ank for :10,000.00 Third Liberty Loan Bond No.114316; 025,0 O.COTota1,$35,000.00,and pledged by the Caldwell State Bank of Caldwell, the following: Trust Oveeipt issued by the First National bank of Idaho of Boiee,Idaho, covering one United State Second Liberty Loan Bond No.000123438, in the sum of ,$10,000.00;$10,000.00; and one United State Third Liberty Loan Bond No. 51016, in the Bum of 05000.00; Total, 015,000.00. T ereupon Councilman Mumford presented the following Resolution , numbered 43A, and moved its adopt on, as follows to -wit: A RESOLUTION IN COMPLIANCE ¢dITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 256, LAWS OF 1921, OF THELTATE OF IDAHO AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 45, LAWS OF 1925,OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, RELATING TO THE DEPOSITS OF MIINIC PAL FUME. WHEREAS, HERETOFORE, The First National bank of Caldwell Idaho, and Caldwell ' Bank, have been iesignated by the Uayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, as depositories of the fLuds, belonging to the City of Caldwell, and such banks have heretofore deposited certain scour lea, to secure said deposits; and WIEFMAS, The First mational Bank of Caldwell, Idaho, has on deposit with the County Auditor of Ca you County, Trustbes m ertificates for securities aggregating in amount, the total sum of 035,0 0;00, as securities for deposites of said City; and the C aldwell it-to Bank has on deposit with said 'County Auditor united - 6aes Liberty Bond and 4 'rustees C ertifioate for United States Libw Bonds aggregating in amount, the total sum of $15,000.00, as security 8or deposits of said 'City; and, scour BE abd t: Caldw, depos: and L excel offioE City time I s. And it E mKis, the Finance Committee of the City Council has examined into the sufficiency of said Ise and has found the same sufficient; therefore :T RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell: Section 1: That the First National Dank of Caldwell, Idaho,and the Caldwell State bank. be -same are hereby continued as depositories of the fords belonging to the City of L,Idaho, and the City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, is hereby authorized to keepon in the First National Bask of Caldwell, Idaho, not to exceed the sum of $60,000.00, hereby authorized to keep on deposit in the Caldwell State lank of Caldwell, Idaho, not to the sum of 030,000.00; of the funds coming into the hands of the Treasurer by vibhue of his provided, however, that all times such depoeitorsee shall keep on deposit with the easurer securities sufficient to protect the deposits carried by such depositories, from time, as provided by law. tion 2. That the securities pledged by said depoeitorsee and in the possession ; of the of Canyon county, and under the custody and control of the city Treasurer, having been ' laves gated by the France Committee of the City Council of Caldwell, and found sufficient, ere. hereb declared to be sufficient securities now on depobot in said llepoeitories. as follows: AYES: CONLEY, DUTTON, KINBROUGH, BUIdb'ORD, MO CONNEL, AND MISELER. NAYES AND ABSENT: NONE. Whereupon the ''ayor decalred the motion carried and Resolution No. 43A adapted, and 6 iracted the Clerk 4o record the same upon the journal of proceedings of the Couno_I, as a part of the minutes of this meeting; and thereupon the Mayor and Clerk, in open session of the CounclL duly signed and approved said Resolution. It was voted on motion of iiumford, seconded by Kimbrough, that the Treasurers quartezLy report ending Sept. 30th, 1926 be approved as follove to -wit: FOND BAL.JULY 1ST RECEIPTS contemplated by the provisions of the State Depository Law, as defined in Chaoter 256 of the IST, 1926. Laws of 1921,of the -t ate of Idaho, as amended by Chapter 45,Laws of 1925, of the State of Idaho. 14617.SD Section 3, That the City clerk of the City of Caldwell is hereby authorized and directed 10,954.15 to give notice in writing to the 'Treasurer of the City of Ualdweil, of the maximun sum ioh the 569.41 Treasurer of the City of Caldwell shall keep on depoiit in the depositories herein desig ted ) as required in Section 16, of Chapter 256,Laws of 1921 of the State of Idaho, as amended y Section 1168.26 4 of Chapter 45, Lwas of 1925, of the State of Idaho. 837.28 Section4. That the City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell is h3 reby directed to requ I a said 6163.67 depositories to deposit a ditional eecurtitdse from time to time, so that at all tines there shall be in the possession of the City Treasurer or under his custody or control, securities d osited 1600.51 by such depositories sufficient. at all times to secure the deposits of said City as requ ed by law. Section 5. That the City Treasurer of the City of Caldwell, is hereby authorized and directed 2091.62 to deposit with the County Auditor of Canyon Comity, such certificates as may from time to time ) come into his possessions ow finder his custody and contro as security for the depoett of eubdo 1030.01 of said City of Caldwell.
