Thereupon the Mayor declared Bill No 18, had passed and the Mayor in open session of the Council

(published in the Caldwell News — Tribune the official newspaper of the Lity of Caldwell, Idaho.

Idaho, on file an� of record in the office of the Recorder of Canyon County, Idaho, in Book 2 of Plats, page
7$, would be received and considered, and bids for the purchase of said real property would be received and
considered; and
i vAREAS po person or persons have made or filed any ob,ection to the sale of said real property;

1RHE.REAS one bid for the purchase of said real property has been received from Idaho Meat Packers,
Incorporated, at al purchase price of $800.00, which bid was accompanied by a payment of $80.00;

In response to Roll Call upon said motion, Councilmen voting "Aye wares Sloop, Olesen, Burrell,

On Moll Call the follmdug GQincilmen answered presents J. R. Sloop, Leo J. Mason, Pete Clasen, '
L. E. Burrell, 0. L. Thornock and R. H. McNeill.
Mr. Amos Miller was present and discussed with the Mayor and council the reinforcement of bulk-
heads in Indian Creek between 9th Street and 10th Street.
The Mayor appointed the following Committee with power to acts Councilmen Leo J. Mason and R. H.
McNeill.
Mr. George L. Denton, Jr., representing the First Security Trust Company and Edward L. Burton &
Company, and Mr. J. H. Goode, representing Ottis & Company, Denver, Colorado, and Mr. C. L. Miller, represents
ing Continental Bank & Trust Company, Salt Lake City, Utah and The First i4ati)nal Bank of Caldwell, per-
sonally appeared before the council and offered contracts for aervides to be rendered as fiscal agents
representing the City of Caldwell in the contemplated issue of general obligation bonds. Mr. Lauren 71.
Gibbs of Salt Lake City, Utah, did not appear in person but presented fiscal agent service contract in
writing. Each of the gentlemen appearing in person was interviewed and the written contract submitted by !'
each of them considered.
Thereupon it was mooed by Councilman Clasen, seconded by Councilman McNeill that the contract as l
submitted by Ottis & Company of Denver, Colorado be approved and accepted, ad the bAyor and Clerk of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, be authorized to execute that contract in the name of and on behalf of the City of
;aldwell. In response to roll all, those voting "Aye" were: Councilmen Olesen and UcNeill. Those voting
"nay" were: Councilmen Sloop, Thornock, Burrell. hot voting "ouncilmen Mason. The motion vies declared
lost. Thereupon it was moved by Counilman Thornock, seconded by Councilmic Olesen, that the c:,ntract for
fiscal agent services, submitted by the Continental Bank and Trust Company and The P'irst National Bank of
caldwell be accepted and approved, and that the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be authorized'
to execute that contract in the name of and on behalf of the City Caldwell, Idaho. Upon roll call,
those voting "aye" were: Councilmen Thornock, Clasen, Burrell and Sloop. Those voting "nay" were: Councilmen!!
McNeill. Not voting, Councilman Maon The motion was declared carried. '
It was moved by Councilman McNeill, seconded by CouncilmaiBurrell that the City of Caldwell
stand and pay fifty percent of the expense of constructing and erecting two poles at each of the inter-
sections of Seventh Avenue and Mail: Street; Kimball Avenue and Main Street, and Kimball Avenue and Arthur
Street; and that the City of Caldwell pay the entire cost andexpense of constructing and erecting two poles
at the intersection of Kimball Avenue and Blaine Street.
It was moved by Councilman S1jop, seconded by C - mcilman Thornock, that the City of Caldwell lease
